Happy consumer
Product fit my knife perfect, I love the tracker behind the back carry potential, and the materials are fantastic. The customer service with this group is also top notch. I had a very good experience.

Narrow throat for blade and handle.
This is a pretty nice sheath but it does have some unique limitations. I bought it to go with a recently completed Whole Earth XL Tracker-type blade in coated 1095 that I recently put micarta handles on (a whole 'nuther review - see that item).Unlike the Tracker made by TOPS, I wanted the handle scales to extend slightly forward of the front of the grip on this version. I saw the note on the description for this sheath that the maximum circumference of the handle at the snap cannot exceed 4" so I was very careful to sand my scales to ensure a narrow enough girth. However, I ran into trouble since even though the handle was under 4" in circumference, the fact that the scales extended all the way to the actual opening of the sheath for the blade made for an overly tight fit. This also caused the leather hood to flare and made fastening the snap impossible.I do also have a genuine TOPS Tracker (T-01) which does fit in the sheath and the snap does fasten. However, with this knife, the sharpened 'saw teeth' seem to really catch on the sheath when the knife is withdrawn. There is little to no extra width in the sheath and the knife needs to be removed in a very straight line to avoid scraping the leather. Also, the strap with the snap tends to retain its curved shape even when unsnapped and it tends to be very much in the way when the knife is withdrawn.Other observations: the sheath has a nice welt, the leather was nicely finished, and the stitching was basically decent. The leather did seem rather dry and I was hesitant to oil it much for fear of it softening. Also - know that innermost row of stitching is decorative only and the sheath and welt are only held together by the outer-most row of stitching. This is a right hand, horizontal carry (lower back) sheath. I was hoping to be able to also adapt it for right side, upright belt carry, but that would likely require a bit of extra custom leatherwork as the sheath design is pretty much dedicated for "scout carry."
