Definitely Helpful
I speak from the perspective of working as a door girl for two clubs, this book is definitely helpful in spicing up your love life. Yes if you are "creative" there are things you already know or could have pick up tips by talking with your best friends, I am in a really large sorority and we have people that host "passion parties" but there are many more things that people do not discuss like different angles and different "supplies" you can add to your regular routine to impress your guy. You will have some of them saying "I've never done that before" and it will make you look very skilled and talented. I also recommend taking either a pole fitness or yoga class if you need help getting some more moves down or both. A combination of this should really help you out if you are having a few issues. I find this book to be written in a helpful tone and to be more detailed with advanced skills then some others. I am also reviewing the book with a strong english background, no I am not writing like that in this review but I wanted to make it easy to review for everyone, and currently studying library science...therefore I know my books lol.

Good book. My wife was skeptical, but *I* am pleased with the results :-)

Helped Me A LOT!
I wanted a book to help me get more psychologically comfortable with oral sex, and this book was great to do just that!If you (especially if you're a woman, I feel) are into oral sex but have some baggage I feel this book does a great job addressing oral sex on men in ways that other books tend to avoid or just exclude (like "Passionista," by Ian Kerner who wrote "She Comes First," did not, nor is it addressed in "The Guide To Getting It On."). Anything like emotional/psychological hesitancy to get too involved because of the power-exchange that happens, or that it feels anti-feminist, or you're afraid of him pushing your head down, etc. is TOTALLY addressed!Violet's book also covers way more things, like the best positions to go down on a man in, deep-throating, variety of positions, what to do when your jaw/mouth gets sore, etc. I found that even though my partner didn't think I needed to brush up on my going-down, it definitely helped me feel more comfortable with the social stigmas placed on women giving head, and more comfortable with my abilities!Highly recommended! (I'd say buy a paper/hard-copy, not an e-book, so you can flip through it for easy reference.)

Nothing new under the sun...
It had some fun ideas, but not the ground breaking advancements in BJ science that I was hoping for.

Extremely insightful, accurate, and classy read
Violet Blue is a wonderful author, and this book is accurate, detailed, unashamed, and uncensored. It is very classy though and not embarrassing to read. It breaks down stereotypes, and offers advice, ideas, statistics, personal experiences, and many other things. I personally am not an extremely sexual adventurous/liberal person, but I read every page of this book and I loved it. She covers basic things, advanced things, complex things, anythings. I will definitely buy from this author again!
