Portable for home or office
So far, I like this stepper and love the display as it challenges me to do a little more each time. Setting it up was easy and it adjusts for personal comfort and intensity. Personally, I like the longer steps, but my daughter will adjust to shorter steps. I have this set up in my living room right now to use as I watch TV. It makes me feel a little better that I'm getting a work out in instead of being lazy. It takes a bit of balancing to not feel like I'm going to fall. Overall, this is a well made stepper which is conveniently portable for any room or setting I might need. The design of this feels solid and I haven't had any issues so far with anything breaking or falling off. The resistance bands are a nice bonus and I've used a few times. The stepper glides up and down easily and the steps are adjustable to my liking. I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve their exercise routine because it's easy. This is coming from me and I'm not a big fan of exercising, but it has improved my well being mentally and physically over the course of about a month.

Well-engineered, sturdy stepper
This stepper works well; the resistance bands are a little iffy.On the stepper, there is a display (way down) that I find difficult to read, partly because there is not much contrast. The display only comes on when you start stepping, and can show things like number of steps, calories, etc. It retains the readings until you hold down the red button to reset all the readings. Having not used a stepper for a while, initially I had to focus on my balance - so reading the display was not a good idea. Now that I have been using it for a while, my balance is good and I can bend down to read the display. When you adjust the step stiffness, in essence the range through which the step moves is reduced.Perhaps the resistance bands are just hard work, explaining why I have a problem with them. Perhaps I am just trying to pull them too high up. I do find I have to focus more on my balance as the bands are just a tad destabilizing and I find they throw my rhythm off. They are also untidy as there is nowhere to stow them. I don't use them much. This is a well-engineered exercise device and is quite compact; I can easily move it from room to room to use it while watching TV or during a non-camera zoom meeting.Review for: YUDEG Steppers for Exercise at Home, Mini Stair Stepper Machine 350 lbs Weight Capacity with Resistance Bands

Overall a very good machine
Overall, I think this is a good machine, but it does have its flaws. It arrived completely assembled, so the only effort needed from me was to cut off the protective plastic layers. It's ready to operate on arrival, the step counter/timer already has a battery in it, so it's ready immediately. The foot pedals are large, and there's plenty of foot space; the pedals have rounded bumps for grip traction, and these are comfortable to stand on even barefoot. The machine registers every step, even if it isn't fully depressed. The tension adjustment is easy to work, though I wish it had some sort of marking for levels/modes in case there's a certain resistance that you want to return to, otherwise it's sort of a guess. The worst thing about the machine is the resistance bands; there's no way to adjust them to be shorter or longer, and the handles are uncomfortable. I like to use them in a bicep-curl motion as I step, but the handle is hard and uncomfortable against the back of my wrists. Overall, I do like the machine, and you can get a great workout using it, but I think there are improvements that could be made.

look elsewhere
I can't give this one star because it seems to be well built and all, but oh, how I hate it.Out of the box, it seems fine. Despite the completely indecipherable manual, I managed to step on it right away and start stepping. OK, but the step heights are too short. I used the knob to adjust the step height and suddenly I couldn't get the steps to "rebound" after stepping on them. No amount of tweaking, begging, or scanning the manual could help me figure out how to get the steps to rebound again. Why is the manual so lousy? Why isn't there a product website? Also, the steps are a little "slippery". There could be far better traction on the steps. Also, the product is limited to only 100 kg (220 lbs). That REALLY limits the market for this. I didn't get as far as using the hand straps because I couldn't get the steps to rebound.I have no patience to spend the hours to figure out why this stepper doesn't rebound. Find something better, and in English.

Sturdy, well-made
I like that this stepper is portable but sturdy. I can use it with my standing desk if I’m working or bring it to my family room if I’m watching TV. I also like that it comes with tools for adjusting and tightening. I actually messed up when I was first setting the knob adjustment. In my haste, I somehow dislocated the cable from the pulley wheel on the underside. I was glad to have the tools. However, after I aligned the steps a certain way, it was actually easy to reinstall the cable. All of this to say, I appreciate simple and sturdy engineering that allows the user to understand, repair, or adjust as needed. As a stepper, it offers firm resistance which is good for me. I find it best to not extend the steps all the way up and down, but to do smaller, partial steps. It seems to function more smoothly this way. I personally don’t find the resistance bands helpful. However, I’m sure they are a nice addition for some. This is a solid little stepper and I have no complaints.
