-the OPEN 24HRS serving tray- What was a discarded baking tray is now a retro serving tray!! What one person saw fit to leave on their doorstep for the scrap man, I saw fit for culinary reincarnation. A slightly battered, rust afflicted baking tray has been dissected, rubbed back, spray painted & then waxed with 3 coats of the highest quality finishing wax in order to provide many more years as a serving tray than it ever gave as a baking tray. The sides are my usual mix of sustainably sourced pine, routed to aid grip, then painted in a 1950's two-tone colour palette befitting that era. The frame is then rubbed back to achieve a worn, retro feel & then given three coats of satin varnish- meaning the new OPEN 24HRS tray will give you years of loyal use. -TECHNICAL- BASE: Reclaimed baking tray laminated onto 5mm birch plywood providing a rigid base FRAME: Pine; this one is 1950's inspired, but various options for handle design & colour combination are available should you require a specific style for a bespoke model, please get in touch. FINISH: 3 coats of Renaissance wax on the metal & 3 coats of varnish on frame CARE: NOT to be immersed in water, simply wipe any spillages with a cloth or sponge & dry metal surfaces.
