Not airtight so need to vacuum seal yourself
Very good, nice mix, appears good quality and well dried. Not airtight package so you can smell the veg within. I've vacuum sealed a number of packages of this and have no doubt it will last for 10 years or more now.

Almost vegetable powder!
Compared to other packs of dehydrated vegetables I've bought, I thought this one was of lower quality. The vegetables needed soaking for much longer, were minced very thinly, resulting in quite a lot of 'powdery' stuff in the bag, and tasted quite bitter. Once cooked they also made my teeth taste funny.I wonder whether the vegetables (especially the leeks) were washed before being chopped and dehydrated. If this wasn't the case, this might account for the weird taste of the vegetables, and for the fact that they were chopped so thinly: what looked like vegetable powder might just have been dirt. After reading Christophe Brusset's book on Big Food, I am less keen on buying dehydrated vegetables, so I will probably not buy this again. If you do want to buy it, I suggest using it for slow cooker dishes, or soaking it for at least 12 hours, and maybe rinsing it, using a sieve.

So so convenient
Having looked at various brands of dried vegetables I picked this one as it had no potato - a good mix of complimentary veg. Soaked two tablespoonfuls in some boiling water with the same amount of dried onions for an hour. Then placed in soup maker with one stock cube and some chopped tomatoes and left to simmer. Delicious and full of flavour. There is enough left for a generous second serving. I had read some slightly negative reviews saying there was a peculiar after taste but that was certainly NOT the case. This such a good way to have a variety of vegetables without any waste and basically no preparation time. For a single person household this is so economical. The package arrived with a best before date of 2024 - but I am sure it will all be used well before then.

Great to have in the cupboard
I love these veggies! There is so much flavor compared with fresh / frozen veg, and they're so quick and easy to use. Normally, I always use stock cubes when making soups and stew but found that I didn't need to with these veggies. The recipe I use for lentil soup is 50g dried veg and 100g lentils (makes 2-3 portions) - boil for 30 mins, blitz up with a hand blender and that's it - so simple and no need to add salt or anything. For a more substantial meal I add 100g rice and don't blitz up. I can imagine this would be ideal to take camping because you could put the ingredients in a little bag and they'd be light and ready to go. I'd love to know how much is equivalent to a portion of veg (ie 80g fresh veg). I've been reckoning 25g per portion which would mean there are about 40 portions in a bag, about 30p a portion - I think it's great value too :-)

Wonderful for tasty soups.
Great product. I use it to make a slimming soup, which is nevertheless very filling and warming.Method. Put some lentils, peas, beans or barley on to simmer. In a separate saucepan put 2 cups of the mixed veg on to simmer with 6 cups of water. I add any cold potatoes, or veg I have left over from previously. Top up water as required. After about 15min turn off the heat under the veg and after it is cool enough to handle, put the veg through the blender with a pealed clove of garlic and 1 or 2 veg stock cubes. Add the veg to the lentils or whatever and continue to simmer, adjusting seasoning ( salt, pepper, 1 spoon turmeric, if you like a spicy soup) If you have used black lentils or kidney beans drain off the water and add a little clean water, as the dark colouration will spoil the look of the soup. Serve. This is gluten free, if you do not use wheat /barley( which have gluten ) and check your stock cube.

Excellent
I used these veggies for the first time a couple of days ago. I added dried pulses (broth mix) with dried butter beans and split peas together with a slack handful of veg mix and presoaked overnight. Next day I added water, veg stock cube and pressure cooked for 15 mins allowing natural release afterwards. This produced a really tasty soup. There was a good flavour of leeks. The carrots and other veg had plumped up nicely and were tender but not at all mushy. I am very pleased with my purchase.
