it works !
make sure you get a male/male mdp cable . i bought this because most cables are 1 way powered by the mdp of the output. this reverses it, and puts coverts hdmi to powered mini display port. no updates to monitor or ps5. plug hdmi side in ps5 and usb into one of the usb ports, use the male/male cable between female display ports of adapter and monitor, and turned it on, monitor recognizes it. connected a ps5 to a samsung G85SB monitor 34” curved

Didn't Work.
I currently have an old 27 inch Apple Cinema Display (no it is not a Thunderbolt Display) that I wanted to hook my PS5 up to. When I got the product I plugged the adapter in just like the pictures on this page show by plugging the female mini display port into the monitor and the HDMI and USB A port into the PS5. However, I could only get the sound to work on the monitor and was not able to actually get a display to show up. I know this monitor works because it is used with my M1 MacBook Pro.
