Incredible smell, best for use on just scalp and not to moisturize hair.
Admittedly this started off on the wrong foot with me because I went to open it and a bunch spilled out. It was a weird combination of it being more runny than I was expecting, and a weirdly off kilter safety seal. (I do wish it had standard safety seal, at $60 for a gel mask I do think it should be sealed). Aside from that, I do really love the scent. It has just an overall really lovely scent that isn't too sweet or flowery, but still smells incredible. I found it a bit strange that I was supposed to wash my hair, get out, put it on, and then get back in the shower. However, I am trying to do more self care lately, so I guess it just helped me relax and spend more time taking care of myself. Ultimately, it felt strange, but after it felt nice and I would be fine doing it again. The first time I put it on my hair and scalp, as the directions say to do hair and scalp, but I didn't feel like it really helped my hair. The second time I put it on pretty much as close to my scalp as I could, because it was a scalp care, and it felt fine. I do think it helped with some dryness/flaking on my scalp. I didn't find that it moisturized where it hit my hair, but that was fine, I didn't expect it to, and I used my standard hair conditioner after. All in all, it was decent if you have scalp issues, just don't expect it to be a full on hair mask, and be careful when you open it! I do just love the scent!

Oh no.
I was expecting this to be really hydrating and nourishing and the description of it being a cream-gel mask was really intriguing. However, this definitely didn't do my hair any favors. It's honestly a little inconvenient to use since, per the directions, this is meant to be applied to towel-dried hair after shampooing, then allowed to sit for 10 minutes before rinding. It's a lot easier to use hair masks that are intended for in-shower use and only require a few minutes' worth of wear but I would be willing to put out the effort if the end result was worth it. I this case it isn't. This leaves my hair feeling oddly stripped and unbelievably dry and tangy! I was genuinely so surprised the first time that I tried this because it felt like I'd used an over-clarifying shampoo instead of a hydrating mask. I'm not sure what it is about this that doesn't agree with my hair but this was a total fail. I'm absolutely going to come back at a later date and read other people's reviews of this because I'm genuinely so interested in hearing how it works for everyone else. Hopefully I'm the exception and other people have a better experience!

Soothing Mask for Dry Scalps
This scalp mask feels refreshing and moisturizing without making hair feel heavy. The cream-gel texture spreads easily and is simple to apply directly to the scalp. It helps leave the scalp feeling more comfortable and hydrated, especially when dealing with dryness or tightness. I also like that it rinses out cleanly and doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue. The scent is pleasant and salon-like without being overwhelming. Overall, it’s a nice addition to a scalp care routine if you’re looking for extra hydration and a more balanced, comfortable-feeling scalp.

Too Strongly Fragranced and Drying for My Hair
A few months ago, I started taking a medication that caused some hair loss, so I've been focusing on taking better care of my hair. I've tried a few other Lakmé products and hoped this "Teknia Scalp Care Relief Hydra Cream Gel Mask" would work well for me too. I've used several other hair and scalp masks that left my hair feeling deeply hydrated, so I was expecting a similar experience here. My hair texture is between 1C and 2A. I ordered this in June 2026, and when it arrived it was labeled with an expiration date of Feb 2027, which gives me plenty of time to use it. The jar included an inner cover under the lid, and it's labeled as made in Spain. I'm fragrance sensitive, and I couldn't find the ingredient list either on the jar or in the listing. Unfortunately, the scent of this mask is much too strong for me. I can detect the fragrance even when the jar is closed. To my nose, it smells heavily floral, almost like jasmine, with some citrus notes underneath. The scent is sweet, intense, and lingers much longer than I'd prefer. Fragrance is very personal, so I can imagine others enjoying it more than I did. The instructions say to apply it to clean, towel-dried hair, leave it on for 10 minutes, and then rinse it out. That process doesn't fit especially well into my routine. I shower twice a day but only wash my hair every other evening, so towel drying and then getting back into the shower to rinse feels a little inconvenient for me. The texture also surprised me. This feels much thinner than other hair masks I've used and honestly behaves more like a traditional conditioner. Because of that, I think a flip-top bottle would make more sense than a jar. I've only used it once so far and applied it the same way I would a regular conditioner. It didn't feel especially rich or hydrating while applying it, and I left it in for the duration of my shower, which was about eight minutes. It rinsed out easily, but afterward my hair actually felt stripped and drier than usual, which really surprised me. I normally apply a spray oil after showering, and even after using that, my hair still felt more tangled and less hydrated than normal. At the time of my order, the mask cost $59.85, which doesn't feel like a good value to me given my experience. The fragrance is too intense for my preferences, and instead of making my hair feel hydrated, it seemed to leave it drier. This won't be a re-order for me.

Subtle Results That Improved With Continued Use
My wife found this scalp mask to be okay overall, though the results were not immediate. The texture felt slightly oily during the initial application, and she left it on for the recommended 10 minutes before washing it out. After the first use, her scalp did not really feel any different. There was no noticeable improvement in comfort or hydration, but it also rinsed out cleanly and did not leave her hair feeling greasy afterward. After using it several more times over the next few days, she started noticing gradual improvement. Her scalp felt a little more comfortable, although the change was subtle rather than dramatic. This seems better viewed as a scalp treatment than a conditioning hair mask. It may require repeated applications before producing noticeable results, so it is not something I would judge after one use. It worked reasonably well for her, but the slow improvement keeps it from feeling exceptional.
