Great training device.
I am Defib trained for work and I ordered this for the local sports club to train the various different classes exactly how the defibrillator works ( they all have the same function and operation)I found this really easy to set up - the instructions are easy to follow and the trainer was easy to set up and operate. It actually gives it’s own very clear and precise voice instructions so as long as the person training has a knowledge of the operation I am sure they will be up to speed and confident to give demonstrations and training to others.Great for groups, schools ect. It’s well constructed and durable. A great idea !

Brilliant training aid, great real life scenario’s, robust and portable.
The media could not be loaded. This portable life saving training device is something that my son is trained to use.Since using a defibrillator in the event of a cardiac arrest before the ambulance arrives can significantly increase someone’s chance of survival, the more people that feel comfortable using them the better. This AED comes with clear voice instructions to guide the rescuer through each step, together with 8 basic training programmes and 8 pre programmed realistic emergency scenarios which include both shockable and non shockable rhythms, pad placement and troubleshooting issues. It meets the latest guidelines regarding CPR and is within the current recommended range of compressions per minute. It works at 100, 110 and 120 and you can choose for this to be accompanied by a metronome sound. It has accurate adult and paediatric modes with rhythms and rescue breaths in accordance with the latest research. The rechargeable battery gives a working time of around 20 hours, and includes a useful remote control which can personalise rescue situations, and control the pace during classes. This fits onto the back of the unit when stored. The pads should literally last years and allowing them to stick to clothing or carpet will shorten their lifespan. This seller sells replacement pads separately and are available in a 5 pack with a choice of adult, child or a mix of the two, and are not expensive. Search AED trainer pads.Overall I’m delighted with this training device. It is realistic and will enable students to gain confidence and knowledge through hands on learning dealing with real life scenarios. It’s easily portable, fairly priced, it has a robust construction and arrives with a handy storage bag and straightforward manual.I am happy to recommend it and I hope you find my review helpful.

Easily programmable training aid
Firstly lets let you know that I am a Community First Responder for my local ambulance service andI am trained to use a defibrillator. I also trains BLS with defib, so can give an informed review. It really is take it out of the box and use, which is good as the instruction book is limited. But open the lid and the system powers up and starts verbal instructions quickly.Initially I started it without the pads being connected and the instructions seemed a little out of sync as it instructed to place the pads a couple of times before it mentioned plugging them in / checking the connection. However it did not move on until the pads were plugged in and placed which is good.Once it instructs you to start CPR there is an audible metronome beep, which I felt a little fast - I did check it and it is running at 120 BPM which is within the suggested 110 - 120 bpm rate but it does feel fast when doing CPR. At 120 you have to be certain to let the chest come up all the way to ensure a good 'pump'.The remote control - which is held in the back of the unit by magnet - is easy to use and the unit responsive so you can easily select from the pre-programmed scenarios to vary the response required i.e. shockable, non shockable rhythms etc. You can also skip forward so if you wanted to demonstrate without using the pads you can simply press the button which tells the unit to presume that the pads are connected and placed. It can swap between Adult and Paediatric mode, which I presume would on a real unit lower the shock level however it is worth noting that it will still give a 30-2 (compressions - breath) ratio where you would be using 15-2 on a paediatric arrest.Just one minor niggle from me and that is that the English voice sounds just a little too erm.. how to explain... late night radio host for my liking. I would prefer a voice that sounds like it's being authoritative and delivering instructions for an untrained person to follow.I have checked the XFT page here on Amazon and cannot see any replacement training pads for the unit, but as you can use the remote to move past a good contact this should not be too much of an issue.I like that the battery is rechargeable as my older units take batteries you cannot recharge. All in all a good unit for training due to it's adaptability and ease of use. It's not a cheap item but if you are looking at training people to not be afraid to step up and help in a cardiac arrest situation, where literally every second counts in giving someone a chance to survive, it's a good investment.
