I have a shade awning for the side of our porch. Two of the sides attach to the roof, but the other corner has a very sturdy pole to secure it. I just needed something to keep the pole in the ground. This is perfect for that. You only need to sink it into the ground and insert the pole. It keeps it in place without having to hassle with making concrete that will stick to your pole forever. This wonderful option can be temporary if you choose to move and reuse it elsewhere or for a different type of pole, like for an umbrella or tetherball, for example. It can also be secured to a deck or patio and stays sturdy. IT has made easy and mess-free work of making our shade awning pole sturdy and secure. It's a real problem solver.

This thing is a tank. It is much bigger than it looks in the picture, however the dimensions in the picture are correct. Item is pricy, but it is worth the price.
