First time using a punch needle and the set up made sense how to use prior to looking up a guide.

Happy to have a variety of different needles for various punch needle projects.

I got this specifically for the 9mm size needle and it’s the only one without a hole to pull the thread through.

In the very first day I used this kit, one of the threading tools broke and one of the needles lost its rubber coating tube and I couldn't get it back on to save my life. I was also under the assumption that because this was a handle and a set of needles, the needles would fit the handle. The largest ones do, though you need to tighten the screw very tight and occasionally re-tighten as you go. I did manage to do a couple of punch needle items this way, sticking strictly with the large needles.The smallest ones? I have no idea what they expect you to do with them. They don't fit in the handle and upon coming back to the listing to look for guidance, I notice in one photo they simply have one of these needles being used for punching without a handle. Ouch. Supposedly the metal tube is the handle for these smaller needles, but it is smooth and featureless and I could do nothing to get them to actually stay on it.What the kit really includes can be boiled down to this:- Nipper scissors- A handle- Three needles for your handle, which may lose their rubber sleeves- Six needles you will not be able to use- Two fragile threaders- A "metal pipe handle" with no screw thread for the needles to attach to.

This kit includes a nice selection of needle sizes for punch needle crafting. From coarse yarn to delicate embroidery floss including the thread cutters, and 2 wire feeders. Each needle shaft is marked with the size of the needle. It’s small kit that takes up very little room, and is useful on all types of embroidery and rug punch needle projects. It does not come with any type of storage bag or container which will be needed to keep the kit in tact and also to protect the needle points from dulling. Overall, this is a good beginner kit at a good price to experience punching with a wide variety of threads.
