Mikasa Marion Chip Resistant 12 Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4

I bought three sets and I'm satisfied with the quality and sturdiness, despite the dishes being lightweight, which I also appreciate. I like the pasta bowl, but instead of the medium and large dinner plates, I would have preferred a medium plate and a soup bowl.

Chip resistant and beautiful finish. Some of the plates have dips. The beauty and functionality out weighed the inconsistency of the plate bottoms.

These are great quality! The color is super bright and they are scratch resistant! I love them!

This is such a beautiful set, simple yet elegant. Unfortunately one of the dinner plates doesn't sit flat :-(Is it possible to get a replacement for just that piece?

So, the first order arrived with almost all the dishes broken. Chalk that up to poor packing on the part of the shipper--whoever that might be. The replacement order arrived intact thankfully. The packing was slightly better. Time will tell whether or not these dishes stand up to normal use. Overall, I like the simple modern design of the set. My one criticism is the "bowls" are more like plates with very high edges. I can see using these for a thick stew or something that doesn't have a lot of liquid (french onion soup lovers keep it moving!).
