A revelation and great stuff!
Bought these to make Tigernut Milk for my granddaughter and I have learnt quite a lot. They are very dry and took at least a couple of days soaking. Next into a powerfull liquidizer, through a sieve or coffee paper and the result is delicious. The milk keeps well for a couple of days, after that the taste is slightly less delicious. As I only need small amounts for when she is here, I froze the soaked nuts in small batches, easy to liquidize quickly and just have 1/2 pint to use for her tea or whatever. As nice if not nicer than Oatly (brown). Make your porridge with this, lovely. AND The solids can be added in small quantities to homemade breads making a great crumb. Where sometimes I have rather too great a rise at the top of my brown seeded loaves, making that bit crumbly and irritating, the SMALL addition of Tigernut solids evens it all out and the loaf is very even. A heaped dessert sp for a 1Lb 4oz flour loaf, add more and it turns into the consitency of Danish Rye bread. Eatable, but I gather rather hard for Brits. Give it a go.

Disappointed
Unfortunately the tiger nuts are very small, dry, hard to chew and quite a few are rotten. I’m sure for those who want to make milk out it, it’ll be fine but I won’t buy again and will get the juicy larger tiger nuts next time I’m abroad.

Nearly broke my teeth on them. Bought them after introduced to this amazing fruit by my Ghanaian friend, but these are too dry, even after soaking them.
