This is a gorgeous and quality jar, but I just wanted to let others know that the color is more of a purple-ish color than a true amber. This does not take anything away from the product. It's still perfect!

Pump works great, it’s just a lot larger in diameter than expected

This dispenser will hold a lot of soap. Regular soap is fine...foaming soap not required. I ordered the amber option, but received the clear bottle with the silver pump. I ordered again and did get the amber option the second time. I would not call this color amber. It has more of a purple tone to it. The main issue with both dispensers is that the spout does not have enough clearance from the bottle. It needs to be just a bit longer. Your hand has to be right under it in order to get any. Otherwise, it just runs down the side of the bottle. The glass is hefty and it is easily filled.

the clear version doesn't foam! it doesn't work!

Interesting that this is branded as Halston. Classic 70s designer attached to a Q-tip jar is a little funny but it attracted my eye. I wasn’t around during the 70s but am certainly aware of its fashion. Regardless: this is a classy looking amber jar I use for supplements rather than wasting the amber on Q-tips, which don’t really need protection from light. I like how hygienic this jar is, ntm it’s sustainable/non-plastic materials.

We used this for storing sugar for teas and the like. The size is good and quality is heavyweight and durable. It is easy to open but there is no suction on the lid to make it airtight which is why we gave it 4 stars.

This jar is a beautiful light purple color (not amber as advertised), but there are a few issues that must be addressed. First off, this jar is NOT even close to the advertised 8 cups capacity. I filled it with water to the point that the lid would just close and then measured the water within by pouring into a large measuring cup. This jar hold slightly less than 3 cups... nowhere near the advertised 8 cup capacity. The other issue is with the lid itself as it doesn't fit firmly into the jar but instead is on the loose side to the point that you can't lift the jar by the lid or it will come right off (even with the jar empty). I suspect this may allow air penetration over time as it clearly is not air tight. The glass itself is quite thick and of nice quality. They only need to fix the lid by adding a bit wider silicon skirt and adjust the capacity listing down to 3 cups rather than 8.

I knew it was going to be big... but not this big! Make sure you check out the dimensions before ordering this product - this will look proportionately ridiculous on smaller countertops and sinks.But if size matters to you, and you don't feel like refilling... this is great. The pump top is smooth and feels like it's milled correctly, the glass is heavy and sturdy, and it has a great pumping action.
