Great product and quality
These have turned out to be an awesome purchase! Our 10-year-old wanted skates for Christmas and we knew that her three-year-old sister would take one look and say I want to skate too! So I begin searching for a skate that I thought would be a good trainer. The Fact that these are an adjustable size skate caught my interest.I was worried that the tractor style wheels would push her feet out from each other too far, but the guards they have designed keep them from hooking up on each other or being a problem. The stopper being on the back of the skate is such a good idea for this learning stage and has aided in finding her balance. She wears a size 10 and has a normal to wide foot. We have found it easy to adjust, and will be able to expand the skate at least one size in the future. She’s more comfortable if we don’t ratchet the skates too tightly and it’s much easier to get them on and off if you just go ahead and release the straps completely. She is actually able to do quite a bit of it by herself now.

Best starter skate once they can fit a size 7J
I have two kids that I am in teaching to skate...I've skated for over 30 years only on quads and my style is mainly rhythm/artistic and I'm an occasional speedster. I started both out at 18 months on the kind you strap onto the shoe and moved each of them to these once they could fit the smallest size. My son is four and has moved on to the more pure quad style skate made by this brand, but my daughter is barely 2 and rocks it in these. Everyone always comments on how well they skate (without a trainer or me/my wife holding their hand). These little skates inspire confidence for new skaters wanting to learn on quads and the design is perfect for their young developing balance skills to grow with, due to the heel stop. Most of the fear of falling comes from falling backwards, these skates help them correct the backwards loss of balance that would have been a fall in regular front toe stopper styles so that they have a chance to keep going without so many interruptions and that means more time actually going forward, having fun, and improving their ability and skills. I always recommend these to other parents when they ask for my advice with teaching their kids and I would buy these skates 10 out of 10 times if your kid is just learning and wears a 7 junior to 11 Junior with no regrets.

Great beginner skates
Excellent skates for my 5 year old. My niece also has these and skates like a pro. Very good at helping them keep balance while learning the basics of roller skating. Changing the size is easy by opening the tab in the back and turning it like a key. Once he outgrow these, well upgrade him to traditional quads. My only issue is that these look perfectly new but smells like they have been stored where someone heavily smokes. Letting them air out.

Perfect Learning Tool
We used this recently to teach my five year old boy to roller skate, in a future hope that it would prepare him for rollerblades. This is the perfect learning Tool for children to learn how to skate. It is stable. It does not roll too fast; maybe even a little slow and somewhat binding the first several days- but the wheel and bearing characteristics here are perfect. Good feet protection. Is is size variable and the description in regards to adjustable size range is accurate. Adjusting it is a matter of sliding the forefoot assemble forward as the child's feet grows longer- so out of the box it is set to the smallest setting. To increase the size, from the rear, unlactg the adjustment screw, then, twist. This makes the forefoot assembly slide forward. Then, secure the latch. This is too easy. If you are able, this is a must learning tools for a small child... Of course, with safety in mind, requires supervision the first several days to weeks.

My 4yo loves these - WEAR PROTECTIVE GEAR
We’ve only had them for a week, so I’ll update in a few months, but so far these are a big hit with our 4 year old.Her first day was chaotic, she kept falling (she wears all the gear), getting back up, and trying again. Now 4 sessions into it, she is more stable and rolls/strides much better.Pros :- balanced well with the clever placement and size of the wheels. My daughter likes to jump in these, and started doing so on her first day. Would be much harder on quads or blades.- the plastic shell seems sturdy (see cons for other parts)- the wheels perform well on smooth outdoor basketball and tennis courts- the stopper in the back- the adjustable size- cost is decentCons :- not sure how long the break pad is going to last, it’s getting used up fast- the dented strap closures on the shoe don’t feel suuuper strong.- the durability of all the parts together remains to be seen- doesn’t look like you can replace wheels, brake pads, or take things out to clean the bearings, or perform any maintenance.Get a helmet + pad set for your kid bc they will fall over and over and over.

Perfect for my 6 year old son!
My 6 year old son loves these! He wanted roller skates for his birthday and I picked these. He's doing great on them! They fit his size 13 feet great, but he complains they are tight and squeeze his feet, but that might be me making them too tight with the straps... very durable and he loves the fun designs.

Too small!
So I will say these are SUPER cute skates. The idea of adjustable sizes is awesome, HOWEVER, these aren't the right size. My son wears a size 13 and when adjusted all the way to a 2, they are still too small. So I'm returning only because of this. These would be okay for kids with a shoe size of around 10. Great quality product.

Perfect
Best for beginners. My 3 year old learned how to skate on her own at home with these. I was pregnant at the time and unable to take her to the park or play with her due to complications. My only ifea I could think of was skating in the house eeek I know right? I put her helmet and pads on and in 1 month she was a pro (not really but enough to go from the coffee table to the couch ;) ), yes she did run into furniture but the energy she exerted all day trying was awesome! She loves skating, its been 2 years and they still fit. She is a true size 11 at age 5 now. She never complained about the comfort so I assume they are comfortable. If you have a child I highly recommend!

How I wish these existed when I was a kid!
These things are awesome. Our 3 year old is learning to skate with them. I love that these skates are very stable and he won’t fall backward because of the placement of the brakes. They are easy to put on and he says they are comfortable. Sure they are pricey, but given that they adjust 4 (or is it 5) sizes, I think these are well worth it. Really wish I had these when I was a kid - way better than those old Fisher Price adjustable roller skates!

Awesome!
I bought these for my 4 year old. They're better than typical roller skates because they're much more sturdy and they don't require her to balance on them. They're well made and adjust to size. Definitely a much better choice than roller blades for a small child.
