Special emphasis on pictures as an aid
I have used these guides for many years because they quickly lead one to items on your wish list, saving much time. I am also used to the guides layout so always have a good idea where to find answers to my questions. On occasion I have also sought information from other guide books but rarely do I find a superior product, hence my personal faith in using DK’s guides.

Stunning photographs with details of Canada and maps.
This review is for the DK Eyewitness Canada (Travel Guide) Paperback by DK Eyewitness. As you would expect from DK, this book is full of stunning photographs and illustrations in a usable format. This time, Canada and all it has to offer is explored within this travelling companion. This book is a little chunkier than others in the range. It has a fantastic mix of colour photographs and detailed illustrations that offer a level of depth not usually found in travel manuals or graphic maps. The guide is a fantastic go-to for planning and enjoying a trip to Canada. General information is presented at the front, then there is a geographical breakdown, and finally, a section on practicalities whilst travelling. Interesting things like historical buildings, zoos, breathtaking natural landscapes like Niagra Falls and distinctively Canadian establishments like the Citadel at Quebec. National details are given on Canada such as maple sugar production and their love for ice hockey. Maps are scattered within and some are also provided within the inner front covers. Within the inner rear cover is a Montreal Metro and Vancouver Sky Train map.Overall, it is my opinion that even if you are not looking to travel soon, this book is worth the investment even if it is just to pour over the pictures and dream.

Exciting book
Very high quality and concise, I'm surprised they managed to fit so much into a little pocket guide. The book covers almost all of Canada and contains numerous ideas for trips, there is no way you would be able to see or do everything in this book even over a month there. The book has helpful must see items highlighted and excellent photographs and illustrations, they really help sell the ideas of visiting the locations mentioned. The book is a great size and can be taken with you on the trip.

Love this guide!
Canada is a vast and varied country, so this guide does well to condense everything into 400 pages. What a visual treat it is! There's some stunning double page photography that just makes you want to leap into the pages. The beginning of the book draws you in with a brief history together with suggested itineraries for 2 days in the city up to 2 weeks travelling the country. It highlights things according to your interests - be that music, food, nature etc and really draws you into the more detailed pages that follow. The majority of the guide is divided into the different areas of the country. The "Must See" attractions are highlighted with a yellow banner at the top of the page. It's peppered with little facts, maps, images and advice and provides everything you could need to inspire you, all in one place. There's something very exciting about opening a guide book and planning an exciting adventure - this book gives you all the tools you need to create an amazing Canadian trip!

Valuable resource for your travels
This is a really high-quality publication that can help you both before and during your travels. It really does feel good quality which is important especially if you want to take it away on holiday with you. We did this and we constantly dipping in and out of itfor reference and so on.It covers most of the things you would expect to travel book to do such as restaurants, bars, shopping and hotels but there's so much more as well.It suggests itineraries, gives expert advice and is in a format that is very easy to use and to follow.

Gorgeous travel guide
I’m hoping to go to Canada one day and I love to look at travel guides to mentally plan my trip. This is a brilliant guide that is full of hints and tips, as well as some detailed maps and ideas for trips. Theres info on where to visit, eat and stay too. It also features some gorgeous photos.I love that the guide is colour coded for different areas, as obviously Canada is a very big country! This guide is great for planning your trip at home but is also a good size for putting into a bag and taking with you when you’re there.
