Q: Would this kit work with 250lbs and 300lbs leader?

I am not sure. There are multiple needles in the kit, so i would say it probably would work. It's a very handy kit to have.

Search Youtube for P-P.H.A.S. Kit Contents. This is a mid range needle set in 2 tubes. The main tube of 6 needles; 1 medium latch, 1 medium loop, 4 hollow threaders ( for nominal (not absolute) mono leader poundages of 50, 60, 80, 100 ). A bonus tube of 2 thread needles; 130 lb. , 150 lb.. These handle the meat & potatoes of fishing braid splicing. If you feel the need to extend into the bookends of splicing you will need the complete Da-Ho needle sets
