Sunagor15-70x27"Maxima" Mini Zoom Binoculars

A bit too sensitive on higher magnification for my shakey hands . A tripod stand would be good, but I do not want to be carrying one around

I can see Siskins, blackcaps, greenfinches, goldfinches, chaffinches, dunnocks, blackbirds, bluetits, great tits, coal tits, greater spotted woodpecker, jackdaws, jays, magpies, far better now from my kitchen window - But seriously - These are great to use alongside a less expensive pair of 8x25 or something one for general spotting the other for close examination. I only use the Sunagors at 15 x as that is usable hand held and you can use them on a tripod but that rather negates the reason for having a small pair of binos for easy carrying in the first place. They are a bit dark in darker conditons but you can`t have everything in such a small package. I think they are great but you do get into shaky viewing territory once you get up to above 20 x handheld.

They are certainly compact and have a nice chunky and heavy feel to them, but the magnification is too much, they are difficult to hand hold, even at the minimum setting.Because of the small front lenses, they lose a lot of light and detail which gets worse as they are zoomed in on a subject.Good in principle, but if you want magnification you need full size binoculars with the biggest front lenses you can get, or better still a spotting scope and tripod.As for general use binoculars to leave in the car or rucksack I have come to the conclusion that the greatest magnification I can handhold is 12x and have since bought a good quality fixed magnification compact pair with the largest front lenses I could find to replace the Sunagor.

the chinese must have very small heads. i could not get them to work. my mother got them to work smaller head

Works best at mid to lower magnification. Acquired a tripod to help with the highest magnification.

Ne avevo aquistato uno anni fa e sono stato molto contento. L'immagine é nitida e buona. Siccome lo l'ho usato spesso e in ogni situazione come in spiaggia, é entrata della polvere e lo voglio cambiare. Lo uso peró sempre a ingrandimento 15x perché lo zoom é di poca utiitá. Non si riesce a tenere fermo il cannocchiale e l'immagine diventa piú scura e sfocata.

Quería unos prismáticos pequeños y de poco peso para llevar a excursiones. Ya tengo unos de 10 aumentos pero me apetecía probar unos de gran alcance. Y estos con un rango de zoom de 15 a 70 aumentos me llamaron mucho la atención.Pero quiero advertir de mi experiencia con ellos. En principio conforme aplicamos zoom la imagen será cada vez más difícil de enfocar hasta que con el mayor aumento se verá siempre borroso y la imagen será de poca calidad. Otro efecto al subir aumentos es que la imagen es cada vez más oscura. Y además al hacer zoom notaremos además que el campo de visión se reduce (y éste ya es reducido de por sí al ser unos prismáticos tan pequeños).Estos desagradables efectos son comunes a todos los prismáticos con aumento variable, para nada son defectos del producto. Pero sí que es verdad que se ven magnificados dadas las características de estos prismáticos: muchos aumentos y pequeño campo de visión. Está de sobra advertir que es necesario el uso de trípode o un lugar en que apoyarse, paciencia, habilidad, y afición por la observación.Saco la conclusión de que para unos prismáticos de mucho aumento es imprescindible que tengan un campo de visión amplio, por ejemplo 50. Pero este artículo ya tendría un peso de cerca de un kilo, y no los 300 gramos que pesa aquel. Otra conclusión que obtengo es que un aumento de 20 ya es suficiente, por tanto estaría de sobra todo lo que falta hasta los 70.Para concluir decir que la capacidad del producto es prodigiosa tal como se anuncia en sus características. Pero que esto se consigue a costa de sacrificar el disfrute de la observación. Entiendo que habrá actividades donde estos prismáticos serán desde luego tremendamente útiles dado que es un producto muy especial pero quiero ayudar a potenciales compradores a que tomen una decisión adecuada.El producto llegó en perfecto estado en el plazo indicado.

Honestly, i expected more from the Sunagor. Beautiful, compact, light (good, compared to other heavy binoculars), strong zoom. But visual field is small and zoom is blurry.
