In fact, they are strong enough to hold a 2Kg weight (same weight as a 2L bottle of pop) on a vertical surface and even upside down as seen in the photograph. The great thing is that this is not achieved by glue and so it is easy to remove the object and Gecko Gripper afterwards. The larger the surface contact with the Gecko Gripper, the more the object will stick. The stickiness will temporarily fade as the surface becomes coated in dust, dirt or moisture after repeated use. However, simply wash by hand under warm water, allow to dry and your Gecko Gripper will literally be as good as new again.
