(Refurbished) 2020 Mac Mini with M1 Chip (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD Storage)

Absolutely amazing! They even sent me 1 with more storage for the same price! Will buy again when I need one again.

Seriously I am a windows guy but wow I'm impressed. Honestly, setting it up took less than 20 minutes, navigating was something I had to get used to it but so far it's been amazing. I might be turning into a Mac guy now. Very impressed. It is extremely fast, there is a ton of customization and works right out of the box.

This is my second Mac Mini M1, purchased specifically to interface with my HF HAM radio, and I'm as happy with it as I am with the first unit I purchased back when it was introduced. Setting it up was a breeze as I simply created a Time Machine backup from my first unit and used that to restore to this one, leaving that external SSD attached to use with this unit's Time Machine backups. Of the four available USB ports, one goes to the radio, one goes to the external SSD, and one has the dongle for the mouse and keyboard, leaving the fourth port available for whatever. Everything is working exactly like my first Mac Mini M1, as expected. The only issue was that the unit arrived wrapped is several layers of bubble wrap then placed into a box much larger than needed and when it arrived it was missing the power cord. I contacted the seller and explained the situation and they provided me with a link to purchase a cord, after which they would reimburse me for the expense. Fortunately, over the years I had accumulated multiple power bricks from old, broken, and/or recycled equipment and a few of them had the exact plug on it I needed so ordering one wasn't necessary. Replies from the vendor were quick and apologetic for the problem, and by having the power cord I wasn't delayed in the installation, so I'm not going to ding them for the missing item. All-in-all, I'm happy with this purchase and my interaction with Tek Galaxy. If you're are looking for a nice Mac Mini, don't mind that it is a few years old, has Apple M1 architecture instead of the latest processor, and aren't going to try to run any memory intensive applications, this may be the desktop computer you're looking for. In addition, Tek Galaxy has the highest vendor rating of the businesses offering this hardware so I was comfortable purchasing from them and I won't have any problem doing so again in the future.
