Great Quality Bag
A high quality backpack all around. Perfect size for both work, and personal items. It won’t fit a larger laptop, but anything 15 inches and under shouldn’t have an issue. Someone else had mentioned that the zipper gets caught on the corners, they do. A slight frustration but something that will resolved as the bag is worn in as a typical carhartt jacket would.

Great value backpack
Comfortable, spacious and great looking!

Nice cargo space, but really annoying to open/close
The zipper follows a strange path along rigid siding, so it’s not easy to open or close. I love Carhartt clothes but this piece made me think they should stay in their lane.

Sleeve is too small for a 15.6" ThinkPad
Despite the listing's assertion of a "specialized sleeve for a 17" laptop", my 15.6" ThinkPad would NOT fit in the sleeve without a liberal application of brute strength and ignorance, and the only way to remove it was to STAND ON the backpack straps while pulling it free. Also, the way the zipper(s) work is very difficult to open and close. It's a shame, because I love the light weight and the look, and it appears to be of excellent quality; if your laptop is on the smaller side, or thinner, it'll probably be just what you need.

Great Carhartt Quality - Not for hipsters though!
Let me start by mentioning the few things that I think could be improved before I get into what I love about this bag:- I wish there were a snapping strap between the two shoulder straps to keep the straps from separating from my bulging chest. (Honestly, it's because of my slightly bulging belly, not the chest.)- It could use a few more interior compartments for organizing things like earbuds, cables, etc.- The corners on the upper flap should be more rounded so that the zipper won't catch as much.Having said that, I just ditched my Timbuk2 messenger bag because the design quality isn't what it used to be and this is a much better bag.First of all, this looks and feels like a great Carhartt product. The material is the sturdy firehose canvas that their traditional jackets are made of (or at least it looks and feels the same). I like it because it's sturdy and attractive without being too heavy or stiff. The pouches for the laptop and the tablet are great. They're both easy to access and I like the fact that the two compartments are divided from each other. My Timbuk2 bag combined the two and I never liked that. The main compartment is huge and deep. There's lots of room here for accessories, a lunch, a jacket after it warms up, etc. It would be nice if it had a few more compartments, but I dropped all my cables into a packing cube and now the problem is solved.I typically don't use the water bottle pouch on my bags because they're always too small and none of my vessels fit. Most of my other bags and backpacks have such small bottle pouches that I assume that only a tall skinny hipster bottle would fit. But the hipster's bottle would get lost in this pouch. I dropped my 24oz Tervis tumbler in here and the tumble disappeared. Very cool. This is a great bag and I'm glad I traded-up to it.
