Japanese Vegetable and Multi Purpose Nakiri Knife

Rather light. The 7" length is from the top of the blade back. So because of the angle of the front of the blade and the space at the back of the blade, the cutting length is under 6 1/2".

The knife you receive is not the same as the one pictured. It is a cheap stamped knife with a wooden handle that has been stained to look like it is quality. The blade is not hammered at all, its just straight steel. I could have purchased an identical knife at the local Asian market for less than $10.

Love this knife, great quality, and high carbon stainless steel, you just can't beat it for the price. I still haven't needed to sharpen it!
