This MIGHT be a good solution for you….
The media could not be loaded. ….If you are a “power user” and are loading quantities of cones (as I do). Frankly, if you are a casual user, using the SixShooter is more of a hindrance than simpler solutions. Still here? Watch my very short attached demo video to simply understand the process, and then I’ll give you the good and bad on the real-world results. It was noted in the included directions that there was a demo video on RAWs’ site, but it wasn’t there when I checked so I made my own.Done? Read on…That little “knob” in the center that I mention loosening in the video? I should note that if you unscrew it all the way, it’s a poker. Nice touch.Make sure your cones are in good shape. If the filling end is all bent up, you’re going to get frustrated. If your cones are in a “stack” (as many are), you can actually become proficient in holding the stack over the loader and just letting the bottom cone drop into each hole.Material that is ground finer will work better than material that has twigs in it.Personally, I found that it’s better to poke down a bit of material into the bottom of each cone before using the “banging” technique. Otherwise, the packing was a little too loose down near the “filter end”. That could be because MY material had stupid twigs and stuff in it. 🙂I’m not quite sold on the “banging” part in general. In the video, I just hit the Sixshooter on my hand to demo, but you’re really supposed to hit it hard on a hard surface again and again. As I mentioned, I currently have stuff that’s not ground very fine at all, but the banging sometimes made for non-tightly-filled cones. Maybe I’m still not banging hard enough? I would try it harder if RAW touted the Sixshooters resistance to breaking on the box or something. The banging technique can make a small mess. A small amount of material will end up on the counter or wherever you’re working. Not enough to call it wasteful, but just be aware you’ll have to wipe up a bit after.Bypassing the banging technique, though, I DID find the Sixshooter saved quite a bit of time once I practiced and became more proficient. Dumping some material in the top to swirl and distribute into, and then tamping six cones at a time is WAY better than the one-at-a-time technique I use now.If you don’t want to fill the cones all the way, it’s hard to gauge the amount you’ll get per cone when banging. If you use the “swirl and poke down” method, you can see which cones need a little more and when they’re as full as you like. The bottom line is that if you load a lot of cones as I do, The Sixshooter will save you time, and is not at all expensive. I typically use 7 a day, so I can sit for a few minutes and make a week's worth. An easy recommendation for people like me.But if you are wanting to just load a couple here and there, this is just another bulky device to store and there are simpler alternatives.

Not great
This cone loader is a nice idea but not very easy to use. It's a lot of effort to actaully get a cone filled and honsetly doens't feel faster than just manually doing it.

Quickshooter!
Paired with raw cones, this makes filling your cones much easier and with less waste. It's not the quickest for a single roll, but it's wonderful if you are doing a few at a time for the day.
