BRILLIANT !!
What a brilliant piece of kit. Over the years I have used every different type of sprinkler and nothing matches this amazing sprinkler. Before buying, I read all the reports and could find no negative feedback, apart the those that whinged about the hose connector. How are the suppliers supposed to know what your hose connections are ? The sprinkler far exceeds my expectations as I watch it very slowly make its way across the lawn with an enormous spread of water. The Amazon price is the best I could find and it arrived in 6 days from USA........INCREDIBLE !!!If you are looking for a sprinkler that really works and that covers a large area, don't hesitate, BUY ONE.

Brilliant piece of kit
Brilliant piece of kit, if like me you have a moderately large lawned area in your garden and you get fed up having to move a lawn sprinkler around it at periodic intervals you need one of these. Just lay out your hose in the pattern you want the device to go, couple it to the house outlet and turn on the tap and off it goes. The device was delivered very quickly considering it had to come from New Jersey [USA] it actually arrived two and a half weeks before the scheduled delivery date, top marks to the seller.I know that the 3/4 BSP pipe adaptor is not included with the device but to complain about this is purely nit-picking and I'm sure that most people if they had a good look around their gardening shed would probably find one.Highly recommended item for anyone who has a moderate to large lawned area to irrigate.

Genius, save a whole bunch of time
I don’t normally write reviews but I must say from opening the box I was impressed. First I was impressed as this is heavy and sold metal, unlike those cheap plastic hose lock products. Yes didn’t have the connector but a good rummage around the plumbing box and it was sorted in a few minutes (with lashings of Ptfe tape). Next you notice that it sprays only the perimeter of the circle, that allows it to spray quite far compared to other sprinklers (I have a large lawn so that’s brilliant), but it’s genius that as it moves forward it “fills in” the inner gap of the circle.Amazing that it’s not using power and it also comes to a stop in the right place too.The only downside is it moves along very slowly and does give the lawn a thorough soaking with no way to speed up, I guess the benefit of that would be you only need to water twice weekly.Overall I would recommend!

Quality product but should come with hose attahcment
Our garden is on a slight slope and our water pressure is not great, so I wasn’t sure this was going to be the right sprinkler for us, especially when I realised how heavy the Raintrain is. But I needn’t have worried. It works perfectly, providing the lawn with a good soaking. It’s much better than any other sprinkler I’ve tried (including the usual Hozelock products). The Raintrain only struggled when the hose took it too near to a15 degree slope. The reason for giving it 4 stars is that it should come with the hose attachment. It’s disappointing to open a product, only to have to drive 8 miles to a diy shop and have to spend £11 on a hose adaptor pack for a piece that shouldn’t cost more than a few pence.

Genius
The media could not be loaded. Waters the whole garden over night with little effort and less wastage. Previously I'd been having to move a normal sprinkler to around 5 areas to get everything covered. This was very time consuming and wasteful. I can set this rain train up in the evening and it then gradually waters everything over the next 8-10 hours. I haven't had an issue with water pressure but I think our garden tap is quite vigorous. I must say you do need to make sure to position the arms correctly to ensure they spin properly. To use this I bought a female to male brass connector for to attach to my hozelock push on connector (cost £3.99).

You will not be disappointed
This thing is incredible. I have no idea why we have not heard of it before. We set out it in the garden (it does now come with an adapter, presumably in response to previous neg reviews) and it makes its way up a very steep slope and covers I would estimate 6 metres either side. It takes about 8 hours to make its way along our hose (think hose is about 40m), so the lawn and flowers are all drenched. I've bought another for my parents as I was so impressed.

Slow but sure
Nice hefty bit of kit. The "fast" speed is slow BUT that's what I wanted. If I wanted something that would either lay the dust or create a swamp I would have let my husband continue watering by hand or with a sprinkler that was inevitably forgotten... This is chunky and rather endearing (awwww) and chugs along doing its job exactly where we want it to. As yet, I can't say if the stop thingy works as, typically, since purchasing it and trialling it the heavens have opened - and have as yet to close. I'm considering changing my name from Lost Mollusc to Mrs Noah. The vendor got it here waaaay faster than expected which was a lovely surprise. Fingers crossed that I don't have to come back with an update that bursts the happiness bubble.
