Works awesome.... from a general contractor turned Stone Guy!
I bought this, since finding a reliable Stone Guy is problematic.I had a bathroom remodel that needed a quartz curb, so I bought this along with everything else to cut/polish the stone. I've since done Granite too. Works awesome!! And the water feed works great too. No leaks (just had to tighten a fitting or two). The variable speed works great too. The main reason I bought it.I'd buy it again if needed!

Seems a step above the rest on here
I’m a contractor and needed to polish a granite slab ASAP due to scheduling issue with a sub. Normally I would buy only high end tools and immediately looked for the Makita at a couple hundred more. However, it was going to take too long to ship. So I searched through all the cheaper ones here on amazon. There seems to be a lot of junk on here with electrical issues. So I selected this one for three reasons. It was available next day, the posting seemed somewhat professional so hopefully it was some indication of quality, and the primary reason was that the add said it was UL Listed. Hopefully if it’s true, it should be safe.I received it fast and right out of the box, it seemed like a decent budget friendly tool. Obviously not a Makita, but not a painful harbor freight grinder either. Slow start and variable speed is nice. Yes the water fittings leak, but all of my wet tools do when new, even the big brand ones. I have taken the fittings apart and resealed them. It Doesn’t smell or vibrate and doesn’t smell like most cheap tools. So far there is only one thing that may be an issue. When running on low speed, there is a faint knock in the gear box. There may be a burr on the ring n pinion gear or it could be just a piece of grit in the gear box. I could open it up but its honestly not that bad. It may go away on its own as it wears in from use.Time will tell how it holds up. I’m not finished with the job yet but as of right now, I’m happy with the purchase. I’ll update the review if that changes.

Gets very hot
It works well. It arrive on time. Did not include the clamp to hold the water protector. But the biggest issue is that it gets really hot. I operated it at the slowest speed all the time, did not apply any pressure and writhing 5 minutes is was burning my hand. I used it only once. I hope I’m able to finish my project before it burns.

Not geared for long term.
Worked well for the 1st month. But, the on off switch broke. Then the fan that cools the tool. The the arbor lock went...This tool has become useless unless I want to risk my personal safety.
