Misshapes Hardcover – September 4, 2007

It is a real nice collection of images that introduces you to the inventive universe of nighttime ensembles. Its really cool but i wish it were longer and the pictures bigger, but still, really great.

I remember purchasing this about two years ago. I was so excited for the book to arrive, but I was utterly disappointed. I don't know how you can say that this is similar to street fashion books. Some of the people in here look ridiculous as well as disgustingly drugged out. Just because they are well-known disc jockeys, does not mean they know everything about fashion. It looks like somebody grabbed a standard point and shoot and didn't too much thinking when snapping the photos... perhaps they were under the influence.

Great book to just flip through and look at the great pictures of celebrity party scene in NYC.. definite great addition to and collection.

This is a great resource if you are into unique street style. It could have used some interviews but I rather fun book indeed!

The kids at the party are cute. This book is such a neat documentation of New York nightlife and fashion. The layout is amazing. All of the photograpic contributions really mesh well with the portraits. Perfect size to hang onto as a reference or to sit on the coffee table. Good mix of celebrities with normal people, had to look a few times to find some people. Kudos.. very clean and sophisticated, well worth purchasing, and perfect for any age!

If you were aware of the whole misshapes movement that happened in new york you're gonna love this book filled with people trying to be as flamboyant as they could and celebrities like madonna or beth ditto hiting the scene

I loved it. Really cool photos. Great layout. Lots of variety. The fashion is great. They really captured the essence of the "hipster scene". So worth the money.

Not quite what I expected. A lot of pictures of clubbing people. What I like about it is that some regular to the club have their own page with their evolving look through times, but in general the way the portrayed people are not really inspiring me with the way they are dressed, maybe it's just me because I've seen to much of these kind of books already but I have better books on the subject. Might be a nice capture of an era, time will tell...
