It is a round bulkhead lamp / light with brass half shaded and half mesh cover, with prismatic glass light diffuser . The lamp holder is porcelain . This light fitting is manufactured entirely in Greece.All brass parts have been moulded in Greece and then hand processed and hand assembled. The gauge of the body and the mesh cover is about 1.5mm. The high gauge makes the fitting a bit heavy but robust and unbreakable . It can be Installed on the wall or the ceiling or on a post or on a boat indoors or outdoors. Lamp arrived neatly packed and extra reading material of other lamps available from the companyThe lamp itself is of excellent quality and a heavy piece of kit , I intend to fix these to a wall and was worried regards my boys kicking a football against the lamps maybe damaging them but after receiving the lamps I have no worries regards a footballindeed this should stand the test of 100 years no botherThe lamp would have no problems fitted to marine vessels etc as quality is superI intend to use these lamps outside around a garden area and entrance to driveway which extends to a garage , I ordered two but now they have arrived I intend to order another half dozen as seeing is believingA leaflet arrived with the lamps which describes in detail with pics of other fittings including Greek names attchted to each lamp ,I give the lamp a five star which I have never given before to anything received from amazon I feel you just don’t get this kind of Quailty these days and i’am very pleased with my new lampsPs the lamps have even been give a nice coat of varnish , super happy !
