Double Dipped Peanuts Milk Chocolate Covered Peanuts 5 pounds

I have sent these to my friend on other occasions. This time they were just as good but - I didn't think about this - they were melted when they arrived. Even the ice pack they were packed in was melted! Too hot but put in refrigerator and everything was fine. Still delicious.

This is my second time purchase. The first order was in July and it came in a Styrofoam box with 2 packs of dry ice in it. One on bottom and one top. It only took a couple of day from order but it was cool to the touch. No melted nuts. The second was in January and it came in a regular box but it was cold and the nuts were perfect. These nut are the best I have found. I usually get the 5 lb. pack. I'll give them 5 stars for shipping and quality.

These peanuts are good as we've already eaten a lot of them, but they just aren't what I was hoping for. Brach's Double Dippers are the absolute best chocolate covered peanuts, but it seems they are no longer being made. I think it's the chocolate. The peanuts themselves seem to be fresh, but the chocolate is a little grainy and just not as smooth and flavorful as Brach's. For the money, these are an okay substitute, but I don't think I would buy them again.

Gave these as a surprise gift to someone recovering from knee replacement who loves chocolate covered peanuts. I did the 5# option for the dollar value. They took almost 2 weeks to get there via US Postal Service. I was greatly concerned as they were heading to South Dakota in 90+ weather and that they would arrive as a solid lump. They were shipped in an insulated container with cold pacs (that had expended themselves somewhere in the middle of the delivery) so the product arrived in good condition much to my relief. She knows her chocolate covered peanuts and gives them rave reviews. The size of the container may account for the slow delivery. They need to offer a gift option. I plan on returning to purchase towards Christmas.

I like double dipped chocolate peanuts for a snack when watching a movie. The major brand we bought locally for years has pretty much disappeared. While still listed on their website, they are out of stock. So I ordered this as an alternative. Since we live in the desert southwest, I learned to only order a product like this in late fall to early spring. They arrived in fine shape with just some joined together in pairs, probably at the factory. The taste is excellent, but I do miss that occasional salty taste of the other product. They do not melt in the mouth as quickly as the other brand, probably to reduce damage during shipping in the warmer months. While not my favorite, they are certainly a great second choice.

The double dipped chocolate covered peanuts were delicious, HOWEVRR. the peanuts were small, or half a peanut or a bit oaf a peanut. If they had used whole jumbo peanuts this would-be an outstanding candy. As is i won't be buying any more of these, but will look for something with more peanut in it. These are chocolate with a little bit of peanut. I would think it would be cheaper to have jumbo peanuts without so much chocolate.
