It serves the purpose
It is a metal enclosure. It serves it’s purpose.

No indication of USB 3.2 gen 2 in literature or description on box
so far this hard drive case is fine. I can't really check the performance, amazon lists this as the latest and greatest enclosure, but the packaging does not reflect this. I have always had good luck with this brand and hope the claims are true.

New life to old external drives
Cracked open an old 3.0 USB SATA external drive and put the HDD in this shell. Much improved performance. Would recommend.

This Case does not open.
1st review on 08/10/2024:Ease of Use: - The product has a slide button that you press and when following the instructions which I only found on the items amazon page said to press the button and push the other side for the tray to come out. The included instructions were of no use for this model on how to open it up.Quality: - product is strong, but seems like it would get scratched easier as it is only painted silver with no protected coating. I also have a small chip on the edge near the slide button.Performance: - I am unable to test this out since the tray will not open.This is the most expensive HDD case I have recently purchased and It is the most difficult to open. I expected better quality. I will be returning this item and do not recommend. There are other brands with better quality for cheaper.--------

Great other than the power supply
I got this so I can use an old 4 TB internal drive from a PC that I didn't need anymore. This enclosure works well for that. It was easy to install the drive and it came up right away. The enclosure seems to be high quality and sturdy. The only downside is that the power supply is both huge and very hard to plug into a power strip given the side. A more modern and small power supply would be great.

Easy to Use
Installing the hdd in this enclosure was a breeze! After connecting it to my computer, it was immediately recognized and delivered great performance.

Product works but USB cable did not.
Purchase this and set it up. I found that the USB cable did not function, so I had to purchase a replacement USB cable (very inconvenient). But, once I got the new cable it worked as expected.

Works great but why do we still use barrel connectors?
You should be able to plug a type c PD into this along with a type c for data. Who wants to carry around proprietary chargers? You can always add one easily! With a little bit of know how, and solder; you can buy a type C PD power board that only will accept 12V, and use that!
