Lots of good qualities in this comfortable long thin pedal. A couple design flaws but overall superb.
A good value for a well made wide thin light weight pedal with above average grip and comfort.Pro:Contains 4 bearings per pedal (so 8 bearings total for 2 pedals). actual ball bearings-- most in this price range are actually slippery sleeves not ball bearings.Unlike many new pedals this one spins freely right out of the box but is tight and snug with no loose playHighly comfortable with a flat bottom shoe (like a tennis or skateboard shoe)Above average grip (see below)Very long. this is nice in a platformvery thin. about 20mm from pin to pin at the thickestBeautiful and nicely machined.Really wide. While wide is nice in a platform pedal this one is wider than necessary for a size 11 shoe.Con:Very thin aluminum means it's not the strongestSadly the most fragile point is also the most exposed-- the middle of the pedal is the widest point and the aluminum is both the tallest point and thinest. Can't access the bearings without a a narrow deep well socket. Sockets without extended necks or sockets with 1/2 drives may by too thick to pass through the outer hole. I have 6 socket sets including deep wells and none fit-- but my neighbors 3/8 drive deep well did fit.Comfort with thin pedals This is a comfortable pedal with the right shoes. The challenge all thin pedals face is that the spindle can be the tallest point. When people wear running shoes or soft bottom shoes, if the spindle is the thickest point it becomes uncomfortable. This pedal deals with that in two ways.1. more pegs than most2. the pin height is matched to the spindle heightI picked this one out because it had so many pegs. With a flat bottom shoe like a deck shoe or tennis shoe this is very comfortable.Grip. While these are not the gripiest pedals I own, they are the gripiest one in their class that I have used. I think this is because of the combination of more pegs than most pedals, the proper peg height, and the larger size than most pedals. in general I categorize platform pedals into one of four types in order of grip least-to-most: molded or stamped bumps flat top solid pegs <==== this pedal set screws (these can draw blood) thin screws (like the Raceface chester) ( these can tear flesh)This pedal is very grippy with all those pins and set at the right height. It cannot match the grip of a race face chester. On the otherhand my Raceface Chesters have ripped flesh out of my shins and tore up clothing. Personally, despite that, I feel a lot more safe and secure in a pair of chesters; I never slip off those pedals in a bouncy situation. With this one my feet do slip and slide a bit and I have had some nasty out of control moments when I slipped off these pedals. It depends on how hard you ride what you need. I think the chesters are better and more comfortable but the chesters will bite your shins savagely and these wont. So these may be a better compromise.these pedals are very grippy for their class.Durability. the bearings are really solid. One nice thing about the pegs is their flat bases mean they are securely seated on the thin aluminum (set screws would be weaker by comparison). They nicely came with three extra pegs too because pins do fall out and you need all of these on a thin pedal for comfort. THe aluminum is thin 6066 so it's going to probably bend and gall. in just 6 rides I've ground down the outer edge of pedals scuffing it on rocks. My fear is I'm going to bend that exposed outer circle. If that happens I won't be able to get a socket wrench in to adjust it.SO the weakness of these is the thin soft aluminum and the excessive width combined with the bearing access are desgin flaws.Otherwise this is one of the nicest thinest lightest well constructed pedals I own.

Very nice pedals
I don't write too many reviews for things I buy on Amazon, but with these I felt I needed to. These were such a nice upgrade from the pedals I had on my bike that I am thoroughly impressed. The are well made, solid and comfortable. They provide a much bigger surface area for your foot which makes all the difference. The studs are subtle, not too aggressive, but they work well, your foot does not slip, they provide just enough grip.I put these on my 2008 Scott mountain bike.***********UPDATE***********Today, only about two short months after buying these pedals, one broke, sheered right off (see photo) and I almost crashed as a result.I would have to say after the initial review I gave based on basically no riding time with them, that these pedals are pretty much garbage.I would not buy them again. Good luck if you decide to buy them, maybe you will have better luck than me.

Lightweight & easy to install
I recently built a custom bike for my son and the orange accent on these pedals matched the bike’s color scheme perfectly. So it really is a bonus that not only do the pedals match the bike, but they really are top quality pedals. While you may need a spanner wrench to remove your old pedals, you won’t need one to install these. These pedals are tightened with an Allen wrench from the back of the pedal. However, there is enough room on the pedal-shaft that you can finger-tighten them most of the way. They spin very smoothly and are completely silent. I had manually packed the bearings on the old pedals, and I thought I had them dialed-in just right, but these are much better right off the bat. Each pedal is clearly labeled “L” or “R” and they appear to have been made with a CNC router… Or at least they say they were. They’re very light (just over 6 ounces each), and they come with 3 extra cleats/pegs which can be screwed on to replace lost ones. I feel like I stumbled onto some high quality pedals, and I think anyone who gets these won’t be disappointed

I bought these after going through 5 sets of the plastic/rubber/rosin type pedals. I have a wide 14 (U.S.) size foot and I weigh roughly 250 and these pedals have held up nicely. I haven't slipped off once and the wider platform helps me have a solid stable connection. I run these on a hybrid style bike. I haven't use them in any hardcore MTBing. However, commuting in the city I often take dirt/rocky trails and alleys and do the occasional curb jump and these have held up like champs. I couldn't be happier with them.

Failed after 9 months. Not a good value and possibly dangerous. Does not appear to be repairable.
Bought in February 2019, failed in November 2019.Used on commuter bike. Failed in such a way that they could not be repaired. Does not seem like good value for money. Also, when a pedal fails like this it may be dangerous. Basically, pedal came off shaft and would not stay on. There appeared to be no repair to get it fixed. Until it failed it seemed like a good pedal. Difficult to get home with pedal this way.

Great product
Awesome pedal. Love these. Great feel. Bought some for son and wife. Large platform nice grip. Very smooth. After riding my bike I rode my wife’s specialized w stock pedals, came in the house and ordered two more pairs one for her and one for my sons specialized.

these are Very nice looking pedals
these are Very nice looking pedals. They have a lot of surface for your foot to grip. the pegs look and feel great. they are very grippy and give me a sense of security when i am bombing down some sketchy trail sections. The weight is good (not super light but not very heavy) the profile is nice and thin so rollover is pretty solid. The spindles feel smooth and the bearings feel good too.At the price point I would say they are very good.
