Sturdy and works.
Overall sturdy and good enough quality. There were no instructions with it, which it is pretty simple but the base rod can be screwed far enough in to interfere with the magnet being turned on and off. Just back the rod out until the switch can be flipped easily and then tighten the nut that came with it to hold in place. This will work with both eye hole and small rod indicator mounts. Starrett dials and Interapid test indicators.

I think they meant 12 lbs hold.
Either because of a bad metric conversion, the uneven surface of the base or wishful thinking, this is no where close to having 200 lbs of hold. I nearly sent it back but I'll use it to hold a broom or something.

Mag base
Does not fit my instruments

Solid, very versatile
Very solid. Holds my dial indicator very firmly. I like how many points of adjustment there are on it - the clamps that hold it together give a large amount of freedom that lets you position it exactly how you want.

What I wanted
All I wanted was the mag base to use as a stop. Works just fine. No instructions, but I made a sheet of captured images if I ever want to use it for an instrument stand. Much cheaper than the magswitch line, but also not as flexible. Again, depends on intended use. Shipping was fine because it was box-in-box with air pads. Maybe they learned?

Cheap, but good, and great for its price!
Great base for a dial indicator. I'm new to the world and didn't know if this was going to work with the indicator I got (rhymes with Barber Krait) but it works like a champ and the magnetic base works great. Figured out that my Barber Krait drill press somehow only has .002" of runout on the chuck... pretty amazing compared to the .012 runout on the Milwaukee drill...

Satisfied
Decent. Worth the money. Stays very stable and adjusts smooth. I'm good.

To unstable, arm is a bit to short for use on planer knives install
Just when I thought I had it mounted well enough to dial planer blades the whole contraption fell off point. Bolt to hold dial did not stop the fish from rocking up and down.
