Icelandic Magic for Modern Living

This book was nothing like what I expected. It is not a book of a magical staves at all , and should be viewed at as more of a bathroom joke book then anything else. With staves meant to always lead you back to a dunking donuts , to meet more friends on Facebook or staves for faster Wi-fi , I am left unimpressed and not in the slightest amused , I find this book to be more of a joke and if u look at it as that , u might get a laugh , and if u wanna laugh then by all means buy the book as a joke and toss it in the bathroom, if your looking for a book with actual Icelandic staves , stick to Flowers book " Icelandic Magic " or " The "Galdrabők" . You cant go wrong with those titles, Flowers is a great author and in my opinion they are books that every heathen should have. Other then that , I kind of feel like this book is an insult to all those who actually use staves in their own spell work . TRULY DISAPPOINTING!

This book is absolutely disappointing and disgraceful to the history of Icelandic rune magic. My grandmother is Icelandic and I’ve studied runes and Icelandic history extensively. Every stave and rune on this book is a joke. The author’s final stave, if you make it through the absolutely made up staves, reveals that he made up the whole thing as a business scheme to manipulate tourists and make money. Total bs. Don’t buy it.

Should have known from the sample that it wasn't a serious book. Each one is more ridiculous than the last, but that being said, it was pretty damn funny, yet extremely disappointing.

Short, sweet and very funny!!!Only for the serious practioner. Not for the faint hearted. Five more words required. One.

This book is obviously a humorous take on the Vegvisir / Ægishjálmur / "Viking compass" nonsense that popped up over the last years since HBO butchered the story of Ragnar Shaggy-Pants and his sons.If you feel that your WiFi doesn't work, paint a staff on it and it will (maybe) work.

Nur zu gebrauchen wenn man auf (schlechte) Witze vor dem Hintergrund der Runenmagie ("hämmern Sie diese Rune ins Display Ihres Smartphones" etc.) steht.Allen anderen rate ich die Finger davon zu lassen.

Ihr hättet ruhig in den titel schreiben können das es ein scherz buch ist... geht direkt zurück. danke für nichts
