Best in class 18L pack
I bought 9 backpacks to compare and to choose my EDC pack, which I will use for weekend at sporting tournaments/day hiking/overnight trips/etc. This was by far my favorite pack among the “20L-ish” options. I ended up keeping a 30L pack from Mystery Ranch, but this pack from Thule was so well designed that it almost felt as capable as the pack that had more than 1.5 times the internal volume as this one. The included rain fly is a wonderful added bonus that other packs in this range ignore. Overall, if you need an 18L pack that punches well above its weight class, this is a great pack that I strongly recommend.

Great urban backpack
Using this to carry my laptop plus other things when I go around the city. I couldn't find any laptop bags which also had hip supports, which is weird because laptops can be very heavy. The only bags I found that had that had decent hip supports (not just a band) were hydration backpacks, of which this fits the best. I tried on backpacks from all the top brands and this came out on top. Not only the fit, but also the colors/make... It looks less like a hiking backpack and more like something I can take to a professional meeting. Of note, the colors are darker than in the photos, especially if you use an iPhone. I exchanged the beige one because it was kind of a darker color, sort of more towards olive, for the blue, which is a bit darker than in the photos, but is really nice in person. I've never had any bags from Thul before, but I've noticed they're really well designed. I've also had my eye on their tech accessories bag.

Minimal packing but versatile!
Perfect color and size for me. Truly can’t go wrong. Great quality. Just the right size for school, minimal storage pockets but all in all I love it.

Almost perfect
I am forever looking for the perfect backpack. I have an indestructible leather one I use for work (mostly laptops and electronics gear, so I have that covered and don’t consider those use cases for this item or review. My requirements are more outdoor recreation related - be it hiking, cycling/skating, or even non-work related day trips in a big city. Think brewery hopping in Portland or Denver. This bag is solid. It’s incredibly comfortable and stable, even when fully loaded. It has pockets for organizing your gear in almost all the right places, though I think the lid makes access to many of them somewhat more difficult than it should be. A side zipper into the main compartment would be welcome. The lid itself is quite a spacious pocket and the main compartment is very spacious. I do wish the waist strap had pockets on it like so many do. It can accommodate a hydration bag in the main compartment against the backplate and there’s a divider that will accommodate a laptop or tablet. It has tool attachment points that can be used for trekking poles, ice picks, and the like but they don’t tighten and you might need to be creative with the top straps to hold poles securely. While it lacks traditional Molle attachment points, there are 4 or 5 vertical webbing loops sewn into the sides of the outer stretch pocket that serve as good lashing points for carabiners, shock cordage, or however else you’d want to use them. This bag is a solid 4+ stars for me - some added access to the main compartment, pockets on the waist strap, and maybe some adjustable shock cord near the top for poles and I’d happily give it 5.

Good quality, but... I received my backpack without "drinking system", actually it was the reason for buying it..
