Still Perfect for Mid-Range PCs in 2026
No issues with installing this CPU at all! Been powering my rig for a year now and it's great, not to mention cool to the touch! Perfect for playing video games smoothly and rendering videos fast.

It’s like the 7700, but different. Read, or the owl will eat you.
It’s a Ryzen 7, 8c/16t CPU. Unlike the 7700 it has a NPU, but has smaller L3 cache and can only drive 8x on the motherboard’s 16x slot. For me neither the cache nor the PCIe lanes are an issue but do keep those in mind.

Runs hot
I literally have a brand new aio installed and the CPU runs about 60c on average in gaming. That said it runs well and handles almost every game I throw at it. But literally always overheats when I attempt to play helldivers 2, but never when I run even newer games (battlefield 6)

Maybe not ready for Prime Time
Not a true Zen 5 CPU. Built on Zen 4 arcitecture Does not support PCIe 5 which may pose potential hardware timing conflicts. Bought for the entry level NPU core to facilitate future AI applications. Fast enough. Not sure if it's a stable component yet. Having difficulties with the bue screen and initialization at startup. Sporadic functionality; unexpected shutdowns. May have to return for a replacement or choose a different CPU. The jury is out at the moment.

Le Ryzen 7 8700F envoie du lourd ! Super fluide en jeu et en montage vidéo, il garde de très bonnes températures et tourne sans bruit excessif. Parfait pour une config performante sans se ruiner. Petit rappel : pas de carte graphique intégrée, donc prévoir un GPU.
