The media could not be loaded. I used to get a different brand and they changed their formula and it no longer turned to gel when mixed with hot water. I switched to this brand. The first bag was great and did gel. The second bag did not. I foster for a cat rescue and we use the slippery elm for cats with gastrointestinal issues to help soothe the stomach and intestines.2 tsp to one cup of boiling water should make a very thick gel, this is no where close. It is a shame to spend so much money on a product that doesn't work. The other company and I guess this one has changed the formula. I do not recommend.

I wanted some plain old slippery elm powder for gut support and this fits the bill. There are 349 servings in the container with a scoop for measuring. I'm adding this to my daily smoothie and there's no discernible flavor but it does somewhat neutralize a bit of the taste of my smoothie. It also makes it a little more thick and more of a gel consistency. It's a different experience but no so bad that I can't take this everyday.

I bought this item three times. First time, amazing. When added to water, the slippery elm became viscous, which is exactly what you want. The second time... awful. Added to water, it was like sand... which serves no purpose... so I tried again. The third time I received an equally bad product. It's a shame to waste nearly 30 dollars on something that doesn't work... twice! I had left feedback the first time there was a problem and there was no response. Do yourself a favor and use a different company.
