I am returning the item since I think its too soon for my 3.5 year old to play with this, BUT, my wife and I were WOWed by this toy. We both spent like 30 mins playing with it and enjoyed it. I can totally imagine a 6+ year old kid spending hours with this and having fun. Good built, great quality and fun. Manual and instructions are a bit lacking but you can figure it out quite fast. Operating it is easy as well once you figure it out and kids can use it easily as well once you explain it to them. I would totally buy this if we are invited to a birth day party of an older kid or once my daughter is a bit older.

This microscope is so much better than I thought it would be. You can see so much detail and I love that I have control focusing the image. It is light weight, a great size and I use it all the time. I highly recommend this microscope for anyone needing to see things super close up.

Are you kidding me?! A portable microscope. Owning a microscope has always been a dream of mine but they were so big and didn't work well when I was a kid. I have a very cuirous seven year old so I made a brave gamble and bought this for her birthday gift. She has loved it! She runs outside with it often. It's so easy to use. She can zoom in and out and get it to focus. It's truly incredible and impressive what technology can do these days. I highly recommend this item for curious children or adults.

Great gift for children who have interests in basic microscopy or science. This product has a decent build and came in a protective case. Good for bugs, coins, fabrics. This is a digital zoom device meaning that the appearing image is not the result of an objective lens, rather a camera instead. However, being that there is a built in camera, it is easy to use. Comes with SD card to store pictures and videos. Image quality is fair, good enough for simple exploring and fun.

Great little microscope! This microscope will allow you to view on the built in screen what you want to see magnified, as well as plug it into your laptop and see it on a bigger screen. It can also record pictures and video for later viewing. The zoom function is a bit tricky. It is an extension of the focus operation knob, so once you get it in focus on low zoom you have to continue to focus beyond what you think and it will begin to zoom much more. Also you will have 200 to 1,000 power digital zoom as well. I thought I was going to be a bit disappointed when I first got it, but then I realized the next level of zoom on the focus wheel and I was quite impressed.

Got this for my husband as a birthday gift. SO cool! I didn’t expect too much due to the small size and low price but I was pleasantly surprised; The image quality and magnification are incredible. I tested it out on a peach prior to giving it to him; I had noticed a few miniscule white dots around a bit that was starting to spoil— lo and behold, tiny creatures!!! I am blown away at how much it magnifies. The directions it comes with are simple but pretty explanatory, we were able to figure out most if the buttons without needed the directions. My only true complaints are, fresh out of the box, the carrying case has a very strong plastic-y odor, but I’m sure that will fade with time. Additionally, it can be kind of hard to zero in on a single tiny subject, as the zoom is so close and precise and there is no marker or anything to show exactly where the camera is aimed. Overall though, this is a super cool gift for both big kids and adults alike! I’m very impressed.

I looked at lots of microscope options for my 9 year old grandson before selecting this one. It’s portable so he can study nature close up, is easy to operate and has the big advantage of being able to take both pictures and videos to upload. I think it is good value for a mid level microscope
