I love this book
I love this book. Full of interesting topic starters - I use it in restaurants, coffee shops, hairdressers, travelling, etc in fact any where waiting is required and where most families now seem to hand their child an ipad or phone to play with instead. It makes them think and come up with some amazing ideas. A great alternative to the non stop technology challenge.

Not as good as I though!
Some of the activities make no sense at all! I feel these activities would not help stretch my G&T let alone any other child.I gave it 2 stars because I managed to find half a dozen Ok ( not great) activities which I can adapt. Not really worth the price tag!

Fun for children and adults
The book has a lot of interesting activities that are fun for the children, but also for the grown-ups with or without children. Use it for interesting discussions on car trips or by the dinner table. (How would you make a cake if your stove is broken, would you rather be a banana or a telephone etc.) My children don't have English as their native tounge, so they haven't been able to work with it on their own, but for children who read English, I imagine it would be good for working on their own as well.

Brilliant variety of ideas and exercises
My eldest loves this book, his siblings are too young but say they want a book like it! Easy to pick up and do one exercise, or several. Varied, appropriately challenging and a welcome change to the repetitive homework format delivered by school.
