Barbarian's Tease: A SciFi Alien Romance (Ice Planet Barbarians Book 15)

That was such a sweet ending to this one. Brooke and Taushen had such an interesting start to their dynamic and journey together.With the introduction of a whole bunch of new people I will say that I am wary to continue the series, but I really enjoy the MCs love story whole heartedly.

I loved Brooke and Taushen is such a sweet little soul. Can they be frustrating? Sure, but only because they’re a bit more complex. The consistent theme of this series is the fated aspect. You find your person and that’s it. There’s no fighting the cootie. This story doesn’t bring the cootie in until the very end. It serves as the HEA. These two become true friends. They have undeniable chemistry. They have time to figure out what they want (even if that comes across as annoying because of the back and forth).Anyway, Brooke is a modern woman who knows what she wants (even if that changes day to day) and isn’t shy. Her teasing is authentic to her character even if it is just a facade at the time. I think it’s easy to forget that these women had whole lives before being dropped on Not-Hoth and this story makes you consider just how much those previous lives effect them.This review is way to long for alien smut. There’s a spur. Read it and enjoy.

The creativity of these Ice Planet Barbarian stories is awesome but there are too many pages of descriptive sex that after a while just isn't sexy anymore. I skip those pages to try to find more of a story line. Sadly, I'm starting to get bored.

I love this series, and so I have waited patiently to see sweet happy Taushen find his girl. Even after sweet happy Taushen turned into bitter, withdrawn, edgy, lonely, Taushen. So nice to see him able to heal and be able to move forward finally. And so wonderful that he has started reverting back to his naturally happy personality.Brook was a little harder to love, but she grew on me. The best thing about Brook is that she is very real. I definitely know girls like her, and all girls have a little Brook in them. The worst thing about Brook is also that she is so real. She has some baggage and personality quirks that make fitting in and being happy on Not-Hoth Icehome a little harder for her for a little while. She has a very "human" perspective, and has trouble understanding that the Sa-Khui have a very different mentality. She is a girl who is very adept at playing human "games" of love. Resonance and how it affects how the Sa-Khui see love and relationships is very foreign. And because of her experiences both on Earth and as a slave, she has become little self centered and practical in a way that might seem cold to others. Brook is first and foremost a survivor. And she has learned that in survival situations if you cannot get what you need for yourself, the next step is to find a way to get those who have the skills and resources she does not, to give her what she needs. She feels vulnerable on her new world because she has none of the skills necessary to be self sufficient there. She has to rely on others for everything. Her automatic impulse to use her body and flirting to manipulate people into doing what she wants or getting her what she needs is one of those things she has learned to do in order to survive in the past, but it hinders her here among the Sa-Khui , when she is seen as callous and insincere by some. Also, Brook is one of those girls who doesn't always know what she wants. She is the queen of mixed signals. This is especially hard for Taushen who wants so badly to be seen as special by Brook. There are some real cultural misunderstandings between the two that keep them apart longer than necessary. However, I will say that when everyone is taken prisoner by the slavers, Brook was the only one who didn't lose it initially. She immediately began working at ways to keep families together and to keep them all alive in this worse case scenario. And she didn't hesitate to do things that were uncomfortable if it meant that she could make a better outcome. She is brave enough to do what needed to be done even if it meant that the others would think she was a traitor at first. And she was brave and clever enough to not give up information about those who had not been captured. She quickly figured out how to manipulate their captors. So we see the value in the skills Brook does have, even if they don't work in every situation. And I love how Taushen is the one to point out that being able to make people feel good about themselves, and listening to others when they are stressed, unhappy, or worried, is a good skill to have as well. Brook does contribute something valuable to the tribe. Taushen is also the only one who takes the time to teach her new skills that she very much wants to learn.In the end, Brook and Taushen find their way to each other. Brook especially begins to see things through new eyes. She realizes that Taushen really "sees" her. She takes the time finally to really try to get to know and understand Taushen, and that makes all the difference."Barbarian's Tease", is a great addition to the Ice Planet Series. Besides the central love story there are some huge new developments in the series that fans are not going to want to miss.

This book was definitely one of the most charged books in the whole series! Brooke is so forward and sure of herself and her sexuality, which is a nice change after so many virgin heroines (which I still love!) Also the plot in this book! Another one that moved so quickly and revealed so much of the coming world changes. Amazing as always!

Another super hit from Ruby! This was just such a fun book. I found myself laughing out loud many times throughout the book. Brook is such a spunky character now that she is passed the crying all the time and being scared. Can't blame the girl though. What a shock! We all love these stories but to wake up to it as your new reality would be scary and I'm sure I'd cry too. Taushen is so sweet. I didn't care for him all that much before but this book brings out his story too. How he feels and why. If a guy ever said half the things he told her, I'd be his Geisha Girl 24/7. Lots of new changes and beginnings. I'm so looking forward to them all and some more stories of our favorite characters. Read from the start. You won't be sorry. You could also start with the new Ice Home Planet series too. Which is the next book. Loving Ice planet Barbarians!Kathy

I never got so far in a series and I trully hope it never ends ❤ Always getting my attention and giving me the need to continue

Brooke or buh-Bhruk as the barbarians calls her is at first annoying, its nasty being a player in a planet who only has barbarians and take everything seriously. Poor Taushen he always loves Brooke and thought that he found a mate but turn out that she just wants a one night stands. Ok being roofied is horrible but she could have been nicer to Taushen instead of being so cold. Anyway I don't like her that much but i do love Taushen and i love where the series is going.

Para dizer a verdade, eu não gostei no início, quando ela começou a fazer pouco dele, quando ela só pensava em ter uma aventura, mas quando ela mudou e teve que tentar conquistá-lo, a estória ficou realmente interessante.

I enjoyed this story of Brooke and Taushen.  I enjoyed their journey and cannot wait to read more books in this series.

I love love love this series. Always well written. I'm looking forward to delving into the stories of the newcomers.
