For any 90's kids who remember TV Teddy I feel like this is roundabouts similar to that
Bought as a gift for my 3 year old nephew who initially saw this on a TV commercial. For any 90's kids who remember TV Teddy I feel like this is roundabouts similar to that. He's incredibly soft too. I'm looking forward to seeing him open this as I know it'll be a much treasured toy for him. Definitely recommended.

Awful toy
I'm sooo disappointed with this toy. I guess I'd believed the write up and advertisement before it arrived and my expectations were too high. I paid £25 for this bear. That's all it's worth in my opinion. It is quite expressive but in my opinion not reliably or suitably responsive for the price they're asking. It kind of does its own thing and it's hard to tell if it's happy or scared or hungry. It just mumbles and grumbles with loud animatronic motor noises that spoils the realism somewhat, it's quite distracting. The smiles don't really look like smiles more than a grimace and he seems to whine and fuss a lot but it's unclear what emotion he's conveying. The falling asleep and snoring is quite adorable. His eyes are big and he has a kind face which saves him being a complete disappointment but he doesn't seem "ticklish" or "hungry" or all these other emotions. They're just not discernible. Also tickling doesn't work, pressing the right button sensor sets him off there's not subtlety about it. You have to jab him to activate any new action not tickle or rub it. If I'd paid RRP I would be highly disappointed but luckily I paid a lot less and my 18 month old won't notice he doesn't work in line with expectation. I'm hoping the blinking and ear flapping will be engaging enough Christmas Day! If you were trying t entertain an older child above 3 you might want a more complex toy like starlily otherwise his 4 actions can bore easily (sleeping, eating, laughing, whining). If my daughter loves him I may be tempted to give 2 or even 3 stars simply because I got him cheap but if I paid £30+ then I'd be getting a refund and waiting a few years before buying a more responsive, more animated toy. Basically he's ok but don't expect too much.Edit: sent back for a refund. He's too heavy and he just doesn't live up to expectation.

All in all we're very happy with it
The Bruno bear has lived up to expectations. My 4yr old has really taken to it, talking to it and feeding as if it were a real pet. The only slight problem with it comes if you ask it to do too many things too close together then it can jam but it clears if left for a while. All in all we're very happy with it.

warning could spoil a kids suprise
My son loves bruno but amazon sent this out in its own bruno packaging with just tracking labels stuck to it, my son answered the door and had his Christmas suprise ruined, devastated and fuming with amazon now with not making it clear it would be sent out like this

Adorable, if pricey
Bruno is a cute and cuddly bear with a degree of interactivity. He blinks, moves his ears, legs and smacks his chops in response to various interactions from the child. For example, press the two sensors under his arms to hug him and he will make appreciative noises and movements. Likewise, tickle one of his paws and he will kick his legs about - to the extent that, if sat down, he will fall flat on his face. When he is hungry, the child can "feed" him from his accompanying honey pot. Bruno will also express boredom if left unplayed with before eventually nodding off to sleep.A couple of niggles. Seems that you need to be quite precise with interaction to trigger certain behaviours. My daughter was getting a bit frustrated that, despite her cuddles, Bruno did not respond because she wasn't pressing down on the appropriate sensors. Also, many of his noises seem broadly similar so it can be quite difficult to know what it is he "wants". Finally, Bruno is supposed to react to loud noises but often doesn't seem to notice them. We've had Bruno for a couple of weeks now and my 3 year old daughter, whilst she does love cuddling him, rarely uses the interactive side of his nature which makes him, all in all, a rather expensive teddy bear.Requires 4 AA batteries (not included) and a small head Phillips screwdriver to open the battery compartment.

Clearly a person who has not got children came up with the idea of Bruno!
Absolutely crap!!!!!! I brought this for my 4 year old and I wished I hadn't of bothered.Bruno at times sounds like he is making a porno, which is extremely disturbing when a 4 year old is playing with him.He is an overpriced teddy that doesn't work as you need to keep turning him on and off to reset actions. Please parents don't bother buying it, it's a waste of money and Bruno is slightly creepy!!!!
