Automatic One Touch Electric Can Opener

I really like the idea of hands-off when using the can opener. It works great. I’ve had a few over many years. I wish they were more color choices.

Very happy with the improvement in this can opener ! ! ! I have purchased this product by another producer and really liked it. It was lighter and tear drop shaped. And more Expensive... I was opening a can one day and it quits working while attached to the can ! ! Could not get to the button to use to release the can as it was placed under the product and between the can and opener. Ended up having to empty the can as best I could and chucked opener attached to can into garbage. I had been using it for several years so felt like it had paid for itself.. The hunt begins ....Found several approximately the same price THAN found this set of two (2) for less than I paid for the single one. I did not want to be caught without an opener again so I purchased some of the army can openers to give for in the glove box for family , an old fashioned manual can opener and these...I was impressed they had Manual Release Button on the side, NOT hidden away and unusable. These are great if you have arthritic hands , shoulder problems etc....BE AWARE they will not work on odd shaped cans or bottoms of cans. Having two is great in case one stops working or if company comes and both want to open cans at the same time like that will ever happen hahaha!!! But if you camp etc the second will be ready as soon you install 2 AA batteries.. This improvement made this a Great product in my book....

I was not aware this was an "As Seen on TV" product. Looking at the reviews I decided to give it a try because most had good things to say. This is a total piece of junk. The cutting mechanism is difficult to align on the top of the can. It sits loosely on the can and when you push the power button the cutting wheel then begins to activate and pushes out against the can. This pushes the cutting wheel into the can and begins cutting the lid off. Since the can opener is no longer centered on the can, it loses grip and stops cutting. The cutting wheel stays activated, and you can't remove the can opener from the can. I had to keep lifting up on the can opener against the lid to get it to start cutting again. I tried using it several times, removing the paper from each can first, and had this same problem each time. I saw one reviewer state that once he learned how to position the can opener on the lid, he didn't have these problems. I purchased this as a replacement for a hand turn style can opener. I will be purchasing a countertop electric can opener to replace this worthless piece of junk. Too difficult to use. Waste of money. I threw it in the garbage.

This little guy has given me back the ability to cook again! Let me explain, I am disabled. Because I broke my right arm I have limited use of my hand. I had been using a hand can opener but trying to use it left handed was a real chore especially if you have to open many cans like when making chili. After looking on Amazon for a answer I found this handy can opener I as a prime member thought why not try it out, I can always return it. well I'm hear to tell you it works! Yes it is true, it does kind of eat thru batteries I just killed my first set in about 2 months but have opened about 20-30 cans so I feel that is reasonable. Sometimes the lid doesn't release completely but it really is not a big deal to spin the little wheel on the side. I really love how it opens the cans with not sharp edge, anyone that has ever cut themselves with a can of tuna will enjoy this. So if you are like me and have trouble opening cans, open a lot of cans, or just want something cool you should get a handy can opener. It fits in a draw so its not taking up counter space or need a power outlet like its big brothers. Would be great for camping or when the electricity is out and you don't have to worry about the kids cutting themselves.

We bought this for a gift for a relative who has trouble using manual can opener. We had purchased one for ourselves and was impressed with the product. It opens most can sizes, but does not work well on the large institutinal size can. We have used the first set of Everready batteries for about six months now. It is safer to use since it cuts the lid seal on the side of the can so it does not leave sharp edges on the lid. Overall, good value and great for a gift for those who are challanged opening cans.

A great addition to my kitchen. With the damage I have to my right hand, this can opener is a great help to me in the kitchen.

It worked well for the first few months. I liked that it stopped automatically when finished opening the can. But it only opened certain cans. It didn't work on deep ridge cans that are made to be stackable. It got stuck on a can and I had to pry it off and it stopped working even when I replaced the batteries.
