Surprisingly powerful for its size
Extremely compact, yet powerful enough for basic everyday tasks in Windows as well as light weight gaming.

Good product overall
Good product overall. I got it up and running and activated windows, then flashed it with a fresh copy of Win 11 before using. You should know that the processor is not very fast but sufficient for web surfing and email which is what i use it for. You will see the CPU pegged at 100% often and the 8GB Ram is pretty limiting (wish they had 16GB option) as having a number of tabs open can eat up most of the memory.Known issues from the internet seem to overheating when using the PoE Ethernet port to power it but i'm just using the included USB power supply and it's fine.Overall for the price and the convenience of the ultra small form factor i'm still happy with it

Not a bad stick pc.
I returned the item. Just wasn't what I was looking for. I'm sure it would work for regular everyday uses.

Great PC....more ports are needed!
Great little mini pc for light task. I am using it to send NDI from one of my cameras back tp my production pc. I use OBS software to make this happen. I do wish it had a dedicated power port that would therefore free up the usb c port. I audio in and out would be nice as well. I hope to be able to use OBS for the NDI as well as record the camera video as well but I have not made it that for yet.

A dead weight after installing other Operating System
Pretty good mini pc, but unfortunately when I tried installing Linux, I came to find out that for some reason Linux is not supported on this mini pc. So, i tried installing an enterprise version of Windows, but unfortunately I need an IRST driver from the manufacturer to install, but it is not provided by the manufacturer. Now, the device sits in my drawer, essentially becoming a dead weight.

Very low on ports; Linux is a pain to install
I bought the Minisforum S100 primarily to use as a POE-powered server for a couple fairly lightweight apps. For that purpose, it's basically fine... once I got everything set up, that is.The first of the big two problems is the distinct lack of ports available. You get 2 USB A ports and a USB C port... but unless you're POE powering it, that USB C port is going to need to also provide power. So if you were thinking about using separate USB Mouse and Keyboard, you probably aren't going to have a free port to plug in your installation media. So either bluetooth or a wireless combo mouse/keyboard are almost a mustIf it had 1 more PD-capable USB C port, this would be just about the perfect form factor to run a pair of AR glasses, too...As for the second major issue, installing Linux on this thing is not for the faint of heart. I tried 3 different distros and none of them properly recognized the UFS storage and wouldn't boot after installing. After spending an entire afternoon troubleshooting and deep diving several web forums, it turns out that you need to install the OS, then manually mount the root and boot partitions while in the Live Disk environment, and then make some changes to the configurations so that the OS can read the file system during boot.

Great if it matches your use case
The Mini PC works great for what it is. It is light on I/O ports, which may be limiting if you have to use HDMI and do not have a power pass-through USB-C hub. In that case, if you do not have a POE power source (IMHO 99+% of users) and need to install a different OS, you may be short of a USB port (kbd, mouse, installation media). However, it is not an issue if you have a PD-passthrough hub with extra USB ports or a monitor that will act as one. It is my case. All is good, and the Mini PC worked great for me.It is adequately priced cheaper than MeLE units with better connectivity - but only after applying sale coupons. Watch out for your final price for this unit, which should be better than that for competing products. However, other factors, such as Ethernet speed, should also be considered. As of today, the unit is not worth the listed price of $229. It is reasonable with the $46 coupon available. The star is off because of the lack of one extra USB port, which would be convenient.
