An Attractive Battery Powered UV Fly Catcher that Can Also be Used as a General Purpose Lantern
This fly zapper has the advantage over others that it is powered by a rechargeable battery. This makes it perfect for camping, or use on a patio.Supplied in attractive box with lots of useful information printed on it, the zapper arrives with a cleaning brush and USB-A to USB-C cable. There is no power supply, but USB-A power sockets seem to be everywhere these days and if you are out in the wild a power-bank would suffice. The cleaning brush is difficult to use as it only fits through one slot at a time. I found a good blow shifted most of the bodies, but I didn’t follow the suggestion in the instructions to; “… quickly flush under the tap (wait) until totally dry and use again.”In addition to exterminating flies attracted by UV the zapper can be used as a white light and it offers two brightness settings in this mode. I can confirm that the 1400V killing voltage is still on the grid even in lighting mode, so if flies are attracted by white light it will get them.I tested the lamp in several locations to determine how it performed as a fly catcher. These included a night hanging from our washing line in the garden, where it only caught a half a dozen midges and a few hours in our compost bin which is teeming with small irritating flies, where it caught a few more. The flies on the grid were definitely dead, but whether they were attracted by the UV, or were just unfortunate enough to randomly bump into it I can’t be certain.Unlike many others this zapper looks quite attractive. It makes a nice camping light in white mode and can be hung using the attached strap that has a magnetic fastening, or stood on a table with its three feet keeping it upright.

Love it and it actually works
When I ordered the 'Fly Zapper, Electric Portable Mosquito Killer Lamp with UV, 1400v Power Saving and High Efficiency Fly Killer' I had a few flies that had invaded my house and of course by the time this device had arrived they had all disappeared.Taking the opportunity to full charge the unit and test it out I was impressed by the build quality and 'features' that this has.As an emergency light it passes a test - it does put out light and you can have 2 brightness's of light. As a passive fly killer it does a really good job - I have not heard it zap one yet but I have evidence of at least 4 flies biting the dust inside the machine. With a magnetic catch to enable you to hang the device up and a brush supplied to clean our your deceased friends once it is time to recharge again 9witht he supplied USB-A to C cable) you have pretty much all you need to get started.I have not used this in permanently on mode yet and just left it on auto which seems to work just fine.AT a price of £29.99 for this version (I cannot see the difference between the 2 options) this is an effective passive fly killer and I can definitely attest to it's effectiveness.

Well made and looks good , haven't noticed its effectiveness yet !
This is a compact fly zapper , I actually really like it , it feels "good " when you touch it due to its materials , it feels well made , it has a plastic body , and three feet on the bottom which are rubberised and rubber strap with a popper so you can carry it or hang it up .It has a rubber cover on the back which is the charging port , which takes a USB C cable and has an led showing you its charging .The two buttons on the front are rubberised too , the power button turns it on and cycles between UV light and low and high white light , this also turn on the coil .The auto button , ( I believe from reading the instructions) turn the UV light and coil on when it gets dark automatically. The great thing is that it is portable , and it is very light and doesn't take up much room.I haven't seen its effectiveness with bugs yet as we haven't had many around since I have had it , hopefully this warm weekend coming up should put it to test , but I can't see why it would not work as bugs are attracted to light and the coil should zap them fine .I would recommend this

Neat, portable, lightweight - not buzzed anything yet
I was really pleased with this when it arrived, it is neat, not to big, not too small. You don't need to site it neat to a plug socket because it is re-chargeable via USB port. Ours does seem to keep going off but we will work on that because it may be something we are doing so I left it on and on charge yesterday and it stayed on.You can either stand it on a surface, it is a perfectly sturdy little item or, there is a loop if you want to hang it from somewhere. You can switch it onto auto which, I think, means it automatically lights up in the dark presumably to catch the pesky mossies and mites that swarm in during the evening. The only problem is, it has not caught anything yet, no zaps, nothing in the machine and we have had this on for several days now with flys buzzing everywhere hence only four stars - I have every hope that this will eventually do it's job, it certainly looks well made, it's not unattractive as some of these zappers are, it has the right, bright blue light. If you are looking for something small, neat, well made and portable, this is definitely for you, it is not the cheapest out there but is a good looking zapper, we just need it to give results - I will update

Great product
The build quality of this device is great. It’s also larger than I expected, but that's a bonus. I have another which I find too small to let the flies enter the zapping area. This one has plenty of room for them to enter. It’s quite stylish and looks good in most rooms of the house. I prefer to stand it up on a flat surface, but there is a silicone strap on top if you want to hang it up.There is an auto button that allows the UV lamp and high-voltage grid to activate when it gets dark. This option works really well since the success of these units depends on the surrounding area being dark so that the UV light is the only bright light source to attract the flies. I actually caught a few flies last night, so I’m now confident that it will help control them during the summer months. You also have the option to enable the built-in white light, so you can use it as a camping-style lamp if required. Charging is via the supplied USB-C to USB-A cable. I would recommend it if asked.
