Get Nice

Zebrahead: so consistently excellent, I just don't get how these guys are so underated. I came to Zebrahead via Sum 41, who I thought couldn't be beaten.Get Nice Broadcast, MFZB and Phoenix are serious challengers to my ancient beliefs!

absolutely great album on the whole, not a massive amount of variety but every song has something different enough to offer to separate your favourites from your less-listened-to. I havent stopped playing it when i'm in the car, with Demon Days my album highlight, along with Blackout, Galileo Was Wrong and This Is Gonna Hurt You Way More Than Its Gonna Hurt Me. Its not a bad price for a CD with a nice booklet, but if you aren't wanting to spend the money, but you've listened to Zebrahead before, or any band of a similar style, get the MP3 version at least and you will definitely not regret it. 4 stars simply because after listening to it as many times as me, you start to skip a lot of the album because of the standouts

Zebrahead's third studio album in the Matty Lewis era and their ninth overall; they still know how to make hard hitting and head banging rap-punk songs for the crowd to sing along to, but how does this one stack up?In a nutshell, they've done a good job with all of the songs - they're decent - but I found myself getting frustrated as the album went on as it got very repetitive to listen to. 'She Don't Wanna Rock,' 'Kiss Your Ass Goodbye,' and 'This Is Gonna Hurt You Way More Than It's Gonna Hurt Me' are three songs that sound different from the rest as the rest all virtually have the same tempo. In fact, 'She Don't Wanna Rock' is a return to the Waste of Mind days with Lewis and Tabatabaee exchanging lines in the verses, very old school. Blackout is also one that I liked a lot, very catchy. Aside from that though, I don't think this is as good as MFZB or Waste of Mind.I have to give it three stars because Zebrahead were at one point my favourite band and I have all their albums thanks to my brother but this album frustrated me due to its repetitiveness and I'm now concerned about what their next album will sound like.

The wait for this album has been hard for a lot of fans but the final product didn't dissapoint at all.The collection of songs in this album has a lot of variety and shows a new kind of style for the California guys.However,Zebrahead stays true to the trademark sound they've been exporting since their first stuff.It's all about the fun and the joy.Zebrahead have always shown an amazing ability to write uplifting songs that never fail to cheer you up.This album can be summed in that idea,since all the songs have that vibe about cheering up and never let something put you down.Whatever the theme on the lyrics is,be sure to get the positive message.The album opens with the killer 'Blackout',that already shows the standard quality of the album and the perfect mix between Ali's rap and Matty's vocals.The usual listener will find the classic pop-punk Zebrahead sound in songs like 'Nothing To Lose','Get Nice!','Nudist Priest' or 'Kiss Your Ass Goodbye'.One can find a different approach in songs like 'I'm Definitely Not Gonna Miss You' or 'This Is Gonna Hurt You Way More Than It's Gonna Hurt Me'.'Ricky Bobby','Joke's On You','Galileo Was Wrong' and 'Demon Days' represent the fast,merciless sound that complete the album and rounds it up nicely.Get Nice offers a great variety of sounds that have a special attached feeling that cannot be found in any other Zebrahead album,being that one of the details that make the Zebrahead discography worth discovering.Tight drumming,awesome basslines and great riffs combined with great solos make the music in this album simply amazing,but again,what shall we expect from Zebrahead?Highly recommended.

One of Zebrahead's best albums, it sunds a lot like "playmte of the year" or "broadcast to the world".The two singles (ricky bobby and get nice) are very good and fit in perfectley with the album.I couldn't praise this enough

I got the CD but it came with 2 large scratches or cracks on the front side.

Du Zebrahead solide à défaut d'être (très) varié. Du bon punk rock festif et énergique. Loin du son des 1er albums mais qui s'en plaindra?

I have been listening to ZH for quite some time. This a great album. The tracks are well done. No cheap quick tracks just to get the album out. personally track 10 is my favorite.

Zu Anfang muss ich sagen, dass ich schon länger Zebrahead Fan bin und nach dem Vorgänger gedacht hatte: Naja viel besser kann es ja nicht werden.Doch schon nach den ersten Liedern war klar....ich hatte mich geirrt!Das Album startet mit den Songs-Blackout: Man hätte sich für Get Nice! keinen besseren Opener aussuchen können! Powervoll, fetzig, und man will unbedingt anfangen sich irgendwie zu bewegen...so beschreibe ich den Song wahrscheinlich am passendsten.-Nothing To Lose: Für mich ein Verschnitt von den Liedern "Rise Up" und "Anthem", allerdings im positiven Sinne und mit neuem Text. Dazu kommt das beste und wohl gefühlvollste Outro, das zebrahead bis jetzt geliefert hat...schon alleine deshalb kann man das Lied immerwieder bis zum Ende durchhören.Top!( Also Jungs, wenn ihr eure Freundinnen mal mit ZH begeistern wollt, spielt das Lied bis zum Ende und sie werden hinwegschmelzen...)-She Don`t Wanna Rock: Ein Typisches Zebrahead Lied, dass absolute Sommer und feier Laune mit sich bringt! Dieses Lied bekommt einen besonders coolen Flair durch das schnelle Wechseln der Vocalisten in der Strophe.Nach dieser grandiosen Einleitung setzt sich der Stil des Albums ohne pause fort...-Ricky Bobby: Die erste Single istb sicherlich der rockigste Song des Albums, besticht durch eine grandiose Rapleistung von vocalist Ali in der Strophe und einen einprägsamen Refrain, den man auch zu schätzen lernt, wenn man nicht der größte Fan von "WHOOOAOOOH"-Refrains ist!-Get Nice!: Sicherlich nicht das stärkste Lied des Albums, aber kann ohne Probleme mit dem Niveau des Albums Schritt halten. Recht poppig, aber Ohrwurm garantiert!-The Joke`s On You: Dieses Lied ist sicher unter meinen Top 5 Zebrahead Songs! Ein bisschen an The Offspring erinnernd wird er Euer Zimmer zum beben bringen und auch die Lyrics sind hervorragend!-Nudsit Priest: Dieses Lied hat es mir angetan. Es beginnt mit Sirene und absolutem Speed, wird aber zu einem Lied zu dem man mit offenem Verdeck locker durch die City cruisen kann. Butterweich, unbeschwert, einfach nur Klasse...der mittlere Höhepunkt des Albums!Halbzeit! Ein Wahnsinnseinstig auch für Zebraheadverhältnisse und toller neuer Stoff für die so berühmten ZH Live Shows!-Galileo Was Wrong: Dazu sage ich am besten nur drei Worte: Dieser Song ROCKT! Einschalten und partybereit machen!-Truck Stops And Tail Lights: Jetzt kommt ein fetziges Lied nach dem anderen, allerdings gefällt mir dieses besonders, weil ich die Lyrics grandios finde und das Solo in diesem Supersong echt richtig gut ist.-I`m Definitely Not Gonna Miss You: Für mich das schwächste Lied des Albums...Sicherlich nicht schlecht, aber es kann einfach nicht mit den 13 anderen Knallern mithalten. Schade!-Too Bored To Bleed: Ein Supertolles Lied bei dem man zum ersten mal den Einfluss von Jason Freese(Mitglied und Produzent von keiner geringeren Band,als Green day) auf die Musik als Produnzent des Albums bemerkt. Aber echt Wahnsinnssong!-Kiss Your Ass Goodbye: Hat mich zuerst an den Song "The Jaggernaut`s" des Vorgängeralbums erinnert, aber es entwickelt nach ein paar mal hören seine eigene besondere Note. Die Lyrics hier auch sehr lustig und erfrischend.-This Is Gonna Hurt You Way More Than It`s Gonna Hurt Me: Ich denke nun das Vorzeigelied eines Singalongs von Zebrahead. Ein wirklich episches Lied, bei dem man einfach IMMER mitsingen möchte....sehr mitreisend und hier auch die Lyrics klasse!-Demon Days: Und auch hier hätte man sich kein besseres Lied wünschen können, um Get Nice! abzuschließen! Das Lied ist sicherlich eines DER Knaller dieses Albums und wird nicht selten auch live zum Einsatz kommen! Punk-Rock Pur!Gesamtfazit: Dieses Album hat alles, was man von einem GUTEN Punk-Album erwartet und für Fans ein MUSS. Auch für neue Fans würde ich Get Nice! empfehlen, da es einfach das typische Zebrahead zeigt und auf Partys supergute Stimmung macht.Was die Bonustracks angeht, die sind nur auf der Japan Special Edition, aber man sollte sie definitiv mal gehört haben! Der erste Bonustrack "Light Up The Sky" ist unter meinen Top 2 Zebrahead Liedern!Aber ich würde mir erstmal dieses tolle Album zulegen!MFZB for Life!Marius
