I've included a top and side comparison view with an Altoid tin. Also pictured for scale: tin with a Leatherman Charge Titanium and a Kershaw Leek folding knife, tin with Brunton TruArc 20 Compass (exact fit, no spare room), and tin with Benchmade Grizzly Creek folding knife (only fits diagonally).This hinged-top tin closes tightly and has enough friction to stay closed under normal use, however there is no latch. A ranger band or heavy rubber band might be a good addition if you plan on bouncing it around and want to avoid spilling the contents. There is not a gasket to seal out water, and a quick check in the shower showed water can enter rather easily. You'll want to seal items away from moisture, in some other way(zip lock?), if using this is a wet environment. There are no sharp edges, all edges are rolled. The ends of the two hinges do present an edge, but they are free of burrs and don't catch on fabric. The box opens and closes smoothly, but there is a fair amount of friction holding the lid closed.This tin will fit in a normal-sized pocket in men's trousers, but it's bulky and obvious. Tight jeans won't easily accommodate something of this size. Cargo shorts or pants (or hiking pants with cargo pockets) will carry this with ease.The gauge of the metal is thin enough to be lightweight without being too thin to feel flimsy and easily damaged. I'm sure you could dent in fairly easily if you tried, and I wouldn't want to sit on it, in my back pocket, but it will survive a ride in a backpack or your car's glove box without worry.If you're planning on using this for a survival tin, or first aid kit, many people will ask if you can cook or boil water in this. The metal is thick enough to do so, but the materials are not listed, so I can't say if it's non-toxic or food safe.Overall I've quite satisfied with the product, and also the shipping speed, and packaging. This is a good product and good seller.

So far the product seems great however I was upset by the packaging. I was purchasing these because I am using plastic free products from now on. They came in two unecessary plastic game for packaging. It is really important we do something about this plastic issue we have as a country! I would love to see your company make a change! Thanks

Bought these for my 10-year-old son who LOVES to collect and keep every tiny little thing. He loves these tins. They are the perfect size for his pebbles, shells, push-pins, random items like plastic hearts from Valentine's Day two years ago, lost Lego pieces, small bits of paper, old used stickers, some leaf he thought was cool, marbles, putty, small happy meal figures, and so much more. He painted one, used sharpies on another, and plans to put stickers all over the third. I will be purchasing more soon!

These tins rock it in the best ways any tin ever rocked. They are larger than the average tin. We are using them to store our radio transmitting key fobs so that we increase our security for these fobs. Now criminals can't intercept these signals and steal our cars. I paid a few dollars for the tins, but they have saved me thousands in security for my cars. Jazo Design is the very best ever.

A well made sturdy container. the outside dimension was 1". The finish of the edges was good enough that they would not be a problem even with prolonged wet hands. I found no sharp edges on my order. They are larger than the mint containers that you see in kits. This container has more room, without being too big, to build a survival kit for BoB, Fire and tinder, fishing, or any combination kits you need. I would add stars to the rating. I do recommend these. I plan to purchase more.

I was looking for a box that was well made, secure and a bit larger than most mental boxes I have viewed online. These boxes (3 to a pack) are perfect! They are very smooth, no sharp areas to be concerned about, lock well, but opens easily too. Great find. I will be using for several things. You can even label, paint or apply fabric to the box if you wish to dress it up! Arrived on time and in good condition. I highly recommend. I'm not affiliated with this product or seller.

I gave it 5 stars for everything except sturdiness. I gave it 4 there because of what I use them for, which is bush craft. They are great for emergency first aid kits, quick fire lay supplies, and tackle boxes on the go. The only real thing I have a problem with is the hinges could be sturdier. Totally functional and good looking product but the hinges could use an upgrade.

Bought this for use as a soap box.did not realize how easily the tin plating wears off. Began rusting after a week. Not good for applications where it may be exposed to water
