two different reviews :)
I got this box of chocolates for my wife :) She was very excited ... fancy packaging ... fancy chocolates ... etc. However, she is accustom to domestic brands (i.e. hershey = sugar loaded chocolate that is guaranteed to cause diabetes in the long run) and she did not like the taste ... She said that they did not taste as good as they smelled :)I on the other hand loved them :) I grew up in a different country and the manufacturers do not load chocolate with sugar or try to follow German, Belgian, Swiss, etc recipes ... Initially I was skeptical because since I moved to the U.S. I lost my taste for candy/chocolate (too much sugar) but after tasting the first one, I finished the rest very quickly. Two different people two different responses. I think it depends on how much sugar you can handle in your chocolate.

Dissappointing!!!
I buy imported assorted chocolates quite often. I was really looking forward to trying Belgium chocolates. It's just something I hadn't had yet. Boy was I disappointed! They look beautiful, and come in a nice box. But it was like eating raw sugar in the fillings. You could feel the graininess in a filling that's supposed to be velvety smooth. I haven't ever given a bad review on anything from Amazon, but I just had to warn people not to get their hopes up when ordering this chocolate. I'll never do it again. I'll stick with Godiva or Lindt or anything else. Although it's not Amazon's fault at all. I'll still order my chocolates from Amazon, just not Bruyerre.

Pleasantly surprised
Sent to our daughter at college. She absolutely loved them. Way bigger pieces than photos show! Excellent

I bought this because me and my husband had loved the same box of chocolate we received as a Christmas present. The ones we had received were delicious, and the box was nicely wrapped. All chocolate had come in perfect condition and were trully amazing. I would have rated it 5 stars then, but when I ordered this time for my husbands birthday I did notice some of the chocolates having started to form that white cover that chocolate gets when it's getting old. They still tasted fine, one chocolate from the top was just a little smushed, but this did not affect the taste. Also it comes gift wrapped but you will get random colors, and I got white paper with a pink ribbon, not the most appropriate for the occasion, but it didn't really matter to me or my husband, just be aware it can be really any color.

A First-Time Happy Customer
I sent a box of these chocolates to my Mom for Valentines Day. She lives out of state so I'm always choosy with the candy I send her. It has to be good and travel well. She sent me a Thank You email the next day telling me how delicious they were! I was very pleased with the delivery time and the quality of the product.

Very good chocolate!!
I sent these chocolates to my sons for Valentine's; they both said they were delicious! I usually send home made toffee, but I didn't realize there was no two day shipping to their addresses so I ordered this candy. They were delighted!! Very good they said!

They gave me the runs and they’re not Bruyerre
I intended to buy Bruyerre chocolates. These are Wellsley Farms brand. I thought maybe their name changed because the sticker on the bottom of the box said Bruyerre Chocolates. But this is an entirely different brand. I ate half of them and they gave me the runs! False advertising and an awful product. I don’t even really like chocolate but someone gave me Bruyerre chocolates once and I really liked them. These are not it.

Okay but not gourmet
Let's get a common sense issue out of the way: Don't order mail order chocolates when it's hot outside. Amazon does not send a snowman from Frozen to protect the package in transit. That said, I bought these in December 2016. Note that this package has only slightly more than 6 oz. of candy. That means the price per pound is about $30.00. I have had candy that costs that much; this does NOT meet the quality normally experienced for chocolates at that price point. There are 6 pieces on the top and 6 on the bottom, so assume 12 pieces. The candy is attractive, so presentation is good. Most pieces have a whipped center, with what the product box says is their "signature hazelnut praline recipe." That is the repeating center, with some pieces having mild cinnamon, coffee, raspberry or other flavors added to the praline. There are far better brands available for this price, some on Amazon. However, with gift wrapping included and a small size, this is an okay stocking stuffer.
