Great purchase! My son had been wanting a silent basketball for months ! It’s not totally silent , however , it’s way quieter than a real basketball! Fun and bouncy !

The basketball was shipped in vacuum sealed bag, so I let it expand for a couple of days. It also isn't perfectly round which makes it a little difficult to dribble. This product claims that it can reach more than 60% of the elasticity of a real basketball, but using a basic drop test it doesn't bounce that high. I feel like having to extert more force to make sure the basketball bounces high enough unlike a real basketball. In terms of sound, for the most part it makes little to no sound dribbling the ball on the floor, although it's hard to tell in my apartment because the floor sits on create. It did make a sound bouncing it against my walls. Pretty noticeable.Do any of the negative(s) affect my overall rating and/or recommendation?Yes, unfortunately it did. I knocked off 2 stars because it's not completely silent, which is the main selling point of this product, and because it's not perfect round which makes it difficult to bounce, so I would only recommend this product, but with many caveats.

This is the second one I’ve gotten and they expand to an egg shape and not all the way round like a circle so they do not bounce right.

This ball does come vacuum sealed for the shipping purposes. When you initially open it up, it is more oval shaped due to being compressed for a long period of time. Within 24 hours though it was fully expanded and almost completely round. After the 48 hour mark, it was perfectly round. You do have to push with more force while dribbling the basketball versus a regular typical basketball. It does not bounce back as easily as a true basketball. It is pretty darn quiet however. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% but it is definitely more tolerable to allow my children to play indoors with this basketball versus a real basketball.
