Great quality product which I would highly recommend. Easy to tap into soil as built well. Avoid the usual stones in the soil which is common sense and you'll find them easy to use quickly. Only gave 4 stars and not 5 as they didn't arrive within the time frame given but that maybe down to Royal Mail!

These work really well if you have nice firm soil with no large stones buried beneath the surface and once in place, they stay there. I found, however, that they bent very easily if they came up against a rock or stone, as you hammered them in.One tip, if you do have stoney soil, (as I discovered I had in places) I found it's worth making a small hole first with a long screwdriver to check there are no obstructions before hammering the peg into the hole (saves on pegs getting bent!)Having tried both these and the 6" metal "square arch" shaped ones (which are only a wee bit more expensive), I think the metal ones are much better in terms of toughness, ease of use and ability to grip, compared to these ones.

This product turned out to be white in colour, not black as advertised. The photo and description were both wrong. If the colour matters to you, I suggest you check with the seller first before buying these pegs. I contacted the seller about this, but he clearly thought it did not matter.

Gave up with these. If the ground is soft (relatively) and there are no large stones or rocks below ground level then this plastic peg is going to glide in like a swan landing on smooth lake. However, if the ground is offering up a bit of resistance and the offcuts from Stonehenge have been buried below there is no hope of driving these little beauties in. Every strike that causes the peg to hit a buried object will result in a complete bent peg that will not take any more hits. What is annoying is that if it pretends that it is going in and then ha haa hits a stone and bends, pulling it out will cause the barbed edges to rip the weed membrane you're trying to secure. We now use another securing method which works 100% every time, far quicker and non-plastic too.

These are very good for holding down plastic weed membrane. They are slightly bendier than the previous lot I bought, but do the job and work. I'm using them across my allotment to secure the weed membrane that I plant through.

I ordered three boxes altogether at different times. The problem with the first box was the colour - they were white instead of black!! The second box was fine - black as per my order, no problems there. I am waiting for my third box now and hopefully the pegs will all be black as per my order, fingers crossed!! Otherwise no complaints. Thank you.
