Be very careful because it is too sharp. The size is perfect for a domestic use. I really recommend it.

I noticed that the blade has a nice safety cap on it, unfortunately, I think it's only for shipping, as it isn't snug enough to stay on between uses. I may alter it somehow to be able to continue using it.It's handy for light duty chopping or hammering, especially for travel. The blade was nice and sharp. My husband thought it felt a bit top-heavy, but it seems OK to me (personal preference). It feels like it's sturdy enough to last a long time.The notch on the blade end works well for pulling tent stakes out of the ground.The handle has a bit of an odor, so if you're sensitive to smell, I wouldn't store it inside the house (at least at first) and would suggest wearing gloves during use for that reason.I think the current price of $19.99 is quite reasonable.

It has a good heft to it and works well for chopping up kindling. Edge is staying sharp. The case has safety in mind - protects fingers and the edge too. We keep ours in the RV. Great price for a quality hatchet.

The axe head has a wiggle to it. So disappointed.

Head head too much play in it doesn’t seem very safe

Overall, the hatchet has good heft and balance. The blade did and excellent job on the medium sized tree that fell during a rainstorm.
