They are dipped in a powdery solution to prevent them from sticking together. Rest assured that latex harvesting does not hurt any trees. It is sustainable! Balloon Clip Instructions: If you want to use the enclosed balloon clips, here are some helpful tips.•Fill your balloon with helium. •Pinch the neck of the inflated balloon closed.•Slide the ribbon under your thumb with the short end down (opposite of what you may think). •Twist the balloon neck and ribbon together several times until they are tightly twisted. •Stretch the neck to make an even tighter seal. •Push the neck all the way back into the clip, and then snap shut. Once you are done, and you want to reuse the balloon, you will need to take the balloon clip off the balloon.Since it is designed to prevent air from escaping, the clip is secured quite nicely. You will need either a small screwdriver or butter knife to pry the clip apart (don't worry, they are very tough and are not likely to break).Once you open the clip, remove the balloon neck and release the helium from the balloon.
