We have needed a irrigation system of this type for some time to water the tomatoes and other plants in the green house. This has proved fairly simple to set up and appears to be working well though we have noticed that in the bright light of the greenhouse the display can be difficult to see and read. We found cutting the pipes and positioning them easy and had plenty to set us up.We aren't sure about the solar panels survivability outside but for our use in the greenhouse this does not matter, the main thing is not to get it wet when I am watering other plants not included when I am using the hose.It is useful you also get a usb slot for powering the unit if there isn't any sun. Right now we seem to be having the dullest of summers.So far it seems to be working ok.

It works but I’m not sure how long for. It feels a bit cheap and isn’t fully waterproof. Definitely one for the greenhouse rather than outdoors.There are plenty of accessories in the box to make a decent sized installation. The price is good, if you can get it at a discount, I wouldn’t want to pay full price (£33) for it.

The kit looked OK , pump / irrigation works .The water monitoring function is just a gimmick as all it does is cause a red light to flash , it does not stop the pump !But after 1 week display failed !On / off still works but unable to program / monitor battery condition.So no use , save your money and spend more !

To be honest the initial impression was not that great. The quality does not seem that good. The solar panel for example looked flimsy and the back appeared to be open to water ingress. The main control unit also has holes in the back. The display is also poor - it is difficult to read the numeric display in normal lighting conditions - the unlit segments of the display are almost indistinguishable from the illuminated ones (you need to cover it to get anywhere close to seeing what it says).The product description states it is IP65 but the manual says IP44. Based on my observations the latter seems most likely.The IP44 rating means it is really only splashproof and cannot be used outside where it may get exposed to rain. This will limit its application to sheltered areas only - such as a greenhouse. In fact it may only be suitable for a greenhouse as of course the solar panel must not get wet.Unfortunately this also means it is likely to be of little use in exposed or unsheltered areas.Difficult to recommend unless used in areas protected from rain.

The Aytop garden irrigation kit arrived neatly packed in a printed cardboard box.In the package you get the pump/controller, a solar panel with stand, 15 dripper nozzless, 15 t-connectors, 15x ground stakes, a water filter, a water level sensor 15m of plastic tube, a solar panel connection cable, a 3m water level monitoring cable, a USB charging cable, installation screws and an instruction manual.Installation is simple - you just place the drip nozzles wherever they're needed, cut the plastic pipe to length and provide a water supply. The water supply can be from a tap or for more convenience, a plastic bucket or similar.The supplied cables are all connected to the controller/pump, the supply tubing is connected up and the water filter and sensor are placed in the bucket and you're good to go.The timings and frequency of the watering are easily programmed into the controller and power is supplied from the solar panel.A very versatile automatic watering kit for the keen gardener.

The media could not be loaded.  As irrigation sets go this is a good little set up bar one major issue, the brightness of the display. I am going to use this inside a smallish plastic greenhouse but first wanted to make sure it worked. I fully charged the combined control, pump, battery unit and then set about creating a test rig to ensure it all worked prior to installation. It does work nicely but as can be seen in the video when outside in daylight you cannot read the display as it is too dim, the picture shows the display in my garage and it can be read perfectly. There is no adjustment for brightness on the display which is a shame, I will have to create some sort of shade hood for the unit when installed properly. Once turned on it is easy to cycle through the different modes with short presses of the power button, a long press will power the unit off. Care has to be taken not to cycle onto the next setting when you cannot read the display. It is well worth familiarising yourself with the operation of the unit indoors when you can see the display clearly so that you know what you are doing when outside. Take care with the solar panel as it is quite flimsy, I will mount it at a 46 degree angle as that is the optimum for my area.

Este kit de riego automático solar es de muy mala calidad, creía q era muy completo y q por sus características sería la solución para regar mis plantas, pero en realidad fue un fracaso,lo primero la placa solar no carga muy bien q digamos, y no es por la zona ya q está en un solar donde le da el sol todo el,y segundo no hace el corte por lo q una vez q abre ya no cierra y el agua no para de salir, hemos seguido paso a paso las instrucciones, hemos intentado hacer ciclos cortos para ver si así cerraba, pero sin resultados, ya no sabemos q más hacerle, pero no funciona correctamente,por lo q tardo menos en poner la manguera y hacerlo yo sin riesgo a q me inunde la zona. En resumen, no recomiendo para nada la compra de este producto, no cumple su cometido. Espero q mi opinión sea útil
