Some of the plumbing in the cabinet under my kitchen sink sits very close to the bottom and I did not account for the height of the lip on this mat when I was measuring for size. The lip is about 1/4 inch. But non- the-less it was easy to position due to its flexibility. This silicone mat is well made and made the area look new again.

This mat comes rolled up but easily unrolls without any issues and lays flat. It's a solid mat and came in black.Our kitchen sink had a leak and the cabinet under the sink was a bit warped from the water. This was going to be or solution to cover it up and make it look better. Our only issue, that we knew ahead of time, was that our pipes come up from the floor. That meant we were going to need to cut some slits in the mat to allow the water valves to poke up over the mat and connect the water lines. It wasn't too hard to do, just laid the mat over and marked where the valves protruded then cut a slit in the shape of a "X marks the spot" style. Obviously I had disconnected the water supply lines so it was just a matter of slipping the mat with it's "new" slits over the valves and lying it flat.The mat does have a raised edge, so if you don't need to slit it like I did, then any liquid spills should just stay in the mat. It's a great way to save the cabinet from water damage in case of leaks - assuming it's not a huge.
